Man of steel - It was good movie, I liked it, which is a very unusual thing for me to say about a comic book hero.
I can honestly say that I've hated almost every comic book hero with a passion, especially all that avengers shit that people are obsessed about. Man of steel was different, it wasn't mind blowing but I was intrigued enough to stay watching and it was nice that they focused on his background so much.

The newest red dawn movie, it had good action, acting was sub-par and it was brutal but I liked it overall

The Men Who Stare At Goats
One seriously messed up film based on true events, and experiments done by the USA.

Now You See Me: The whole movie builds you up for what you hope will be an amazing twist but... isn't. It's kind of funny though and Woody Harrelson did excellent.

Admission: The premise seemed unusual, and overall the movie pissed me off. It seems that the eventual point it leads you to is that college admissions are totally arbitrary and biased and there's no real point in going to Princeton except that everyone wants to go to Princeton. I also found the romance difficult to believe and frankly there's not much humor. As much as I like Tina Fey, I feel like she got typecast as the neurotic Lemon and that irritates me.

The Man with the Iron Fists- I love kung fu flicks, but this one just didn't cut it. 1/5

Bullet to the head- Looks like they took the tango and cash script and changed things. 3/5

Timber falls- Kind of a lower budget horror film but still one of the better horror movies I've seen. Involves a couple going back packing out in the woods and getting kidnapped.

Cube- About some people trapped in a giant cube puzzle and each of them has a different purpose and they are trying to understand it. All the walls have a door but only one leads leads to a room that doesn't have death traps. Very suspenseful and I loved it. It left me thinking about it up until the next day because of all the weird ideas in it.

thunderbolt and lightfoot [1974] -nothing amazing but i liked watching it, plus clint eastwood always can make any movie better.

before that i watched: girl with a pearl earring [2003] - not a very enticing thing to watch except for that scarlett johansson was in it. i would love to paint her, personally.. an obvious weakness of mine... i mean her names scarlett for fuck sake.

before that it was warm bodies [2013] - for me the plot was too obvious from the start like most movies unfortunately. it was decent watching the progression of the guys zombie fx of his face go from bad to good however. the concept of the movie was new to me and although i prefer my zombies dead myself, the idea was nice for the time watching. wouldn't watch it again.. unless on a date with a human girl

In theaters: Fast and Furious 6

It was a fun and entertaining movie and doesn't try to be anything but a fun action movie, I liked it.

      Home: The Dark Knight Rises

Really a great movie that gets a lot of unnecessary hate and people spend too much time focusing on it's flaws (often very minor flaws at that). No movie is perfect, but this one was great. And I'm not even a Nolan fan or a Batman fan.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...

Man of Steel: Not without its flaws, but I loved it. That the second time I saw it was on a bootlegged cam recording, and it still held up, says a lot. Will be buying the DVD.

Iron Man 3: Some cool sequences, but ultimately forgettable.

Man of Steel: Being that the first movie I ever saw on the big screen was Superman, I was hesitant to see a remake...but glad I did. I appreciated the dance between the past and the present. Also, I was grateful for the concentration on Kryptonian history and knowledge. The actors, were perfectly cast. When Zod said something about his soul being ripped, the intensity in that actors face (Michael Shannon) really drew me into that scene. (I liked it so much, I even bought the soundtrack).

One thing threw me off from this movie, when Lois met Clark in the mountains...they actually didn't. They met in daily planet (originally 1979 movie of Superman).
It's just not my kind of Superman this "man of steel" represented. I like reeve better.

On my note for my last movie i seen?...Machete....i love Michelle rodriguez.

Please, please watch this movie again, without trying to compare it with the Richard Donner movies. Nobody seems to get that it's not trying to be those movies. Just like with the comics, the character has evolved, and the story has been told plenty of different ways. (Did you know that the 'original' Superman character (circa 1939) couldn't fly? He could only jump. Yet another change that was made to the character, by the time the 1978 movie came out.) This movie has no ambition of 'competing' with the Reeve movies, or trying to be better than him. It is a complete retelling of the Superman tale, and an inability for folks to realize that is the single reason why this movie sits at a (ridiculous) 56% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Why did they change the 1939 original one? and why ever since 1979 they never decided to put back what superman really was...that he cannot fly! Are they going to make wonderwoman fly too lol?
But i am not comparing, i'm just saying i like 1979 better, it's more my own taste and what i think it should be, never said it SHOULD be like this because it is, it's only to my opinion, i don't care if people liked it,i just want to say to the ones who never saw it that is a bit out of line than the usual Superman everyone was used to.

New Flash: Wonder Woman can fly. As a comic book nerd, I find it funny that you're actually comparing a movie to an older movie when they're both based on a comic. I on the other hand compare movies to comics, and I understand that sometimes, things have to get thrown out of the window. Not "Ironman 3, remove the Mandarin", or give Deadpool eye lazers and claws type crap. But a "hey, let's put Black Widow, and Hawkeye on the Avengers off the bat" when Ant man, and Wasp should have had those honors.

Good example: Sider-man. I've read a ton of Spider-man comics, and after seeing the original and reboot, these are the things I can say.

Toby made a better Peter Parker, and Andrew Garfield made a better Spider-man. The original actually had the battle of hobgoblin on the Brooklyn Bridge, but the new one included Gwen Stacy. Yes, she was included in part two, but she was actually Peters first GF, and should have died in both movies (according to the comics). The Amazing Spider-man did a good job of going back to the "makes his own web shooters" thing that the comic started out with. I can really keep going if I wanted to, but here's the bottom line: Even after all those deviations from the comic book (both movies mind you), I equally enjoyed both movies.

There is a thin line directors have to walk every time they create comic book movies. Part of creating a movie based on a story every knows is the war between creative freedom, and keeping the facts straight. Then the other part lies in the fact these directors are thrown tens of millions of dollars, and are expected to make a profit.

Anyways, back to the OP. I saw GI Joe: Retaliation I thought it was pretty good. Obviously much better than the first.
Spoiler for only click if you saw the movie:

I'm talking about from a movie point of view, not from a comic book. I know books are different than movies, and Lynda Carter didn't fly just jumped high like the original superman which was noted before in the comic book...but still, not talking about comics...i'm talking about movies.
About Spiderman, i liked Toby better, IMO i think heros need to have weak sides like Thor has in the movie (again not taking about comics books), reason why i love Thor and the original 1979 superman, always have a weak side.
I think you know what i mean.
