Thread: How to Love?

I wanna know, do you Love yourself? Do you Love other people?
When I say Love, I'm referring to the higher meaning of that word that every religion or life philosophy talks about.
And when I say people, I mean people in general, everyone in the World. Not just friends or family.

Because today I talked to some friends.
- Friend no.1 is 23yo. Was in a hospital for a month. Barely made it out alive. He was a physical worker, started out young because his family had to flee their home town because of war. The moment he got sick he got fired. And how he is unable to perform hard physical work.
- Friend no.2 - her brother has bone cancer. Had his leg amputated. He is 18 year old. They live in the area that was bombarded with uranium, which is radioactive.
- Friend no.3 - had a baby 3 months ago. Diagnosed with cancer yesterday (friend, not baby).
- Friend no.4 - brother died at the age of 18 from the same cancer that friend no.3 has.
- Friend no.5 has a daughter 3 years old who is diagnosed with a tumor.

Now, no one in the entire world can tell me that war didn't had influence in that.
Besides that, stress + quality of food, water and air.

And I'm furious that people are not doing something to help others.
I'm furious at myself first.
That was happening in my country, and now its happening in Middle East.

Set aside my friends. While we are doing our lucid dreaming, reading books, listening to music. There are people in suffering every day.

I'm not trying to put a feeling of guild upon anyone.
I just wanna know, how to get through a day knowing that is happening in the world?
How to Love yourself, when you are turning your head away from this stuff?
How can I feel anything but hate?
