If the idea behind bestiality being illegal is that the animal can't give consent, or that it's animal abuse, then why are we allowed to kill animals without their consent? Why are we allowed to torture and abuse them in CAFOs? Why aren't factory farms addressed in the Animal Welfare Act? Prove to me that the law isn't just religious bullshit. Based on how a good portion of society treats and views rape victims (especially in the south--remember that ridiculous flyer that told women it's ok to get raped, because it (and the baby which you must have) is a part of God's plan?), I'd say murder's worse than rape. But I've never been raped, and I've never been killed, so I wouldn't know. Other than that, rape is a single event, and death is the end of all events. So again, murder's worse.

You can't get all human population on Earth to stop eating meat. That's why it's still legal. And imagine how many people will go mad if they are not given meat. Although I consent to neither raping, killing or animal abuse, I feel that meat is in part of a human food chain. The same reason why a carnivore animal is not charged if it kills its prey and eat it. But the problem we're facing now is human over kills animal, we're killing more than we can eat, in fact we're over eating. And in some farms, let's say chicken farm, the chickens were ill-treated all their lives before they are finally killed and served as dinner. That is cruelty. Eating meat isn't as long as it's part of our food chain.

You missed my point - EATING is necessary. Getting off really isn't - And since humans are omnivores we do have the necessary hardware for digesting meat.

From the genes-eye-view, sex with another species carries all of the risks and none of the benefits of sex with your own species. It's pure danger with no evolutionary payoff. Eating meat, on the other hand, has a payoff. Moral disgust (in cases like this) is essentially nothing more than physical disgust in the form of social pressure. It reenforces physical disgust in case it's not enough to prevent a behavior that is overly risky.
