I've done research on 2012 for a while now..I've read a lot of different theories. Some make sense, some sound like complete bullshit.

And all I have to say on the matter is focus on the here and now..there is no past or present. But the most important thing of all, is to not succumb to fear...just be aware of what's going on here and now and how you feel.

Fear is literally a prison for the mind, that's how people manipulate one another...actually it's the EASIEST most EFFICIENT way to manipulate someone.

Just relax...if this solar storm comes in 2012 it's going to boost the electromagnetic field in the earth. The pineal gland ( responsible for dreams, OBE's and NDE's ) is sensitive to electromagnetic fields. Can you imagine everyone in a state of peace and serenity, having and sharing lucid dreams every night? Light up some cheeba and relax, what's coming in 2012 is bliss. The world won't end unless you want it to or fear that happening.

But basically the formula is:

Fear = control
Love, or feeling happy = manifestation.

Refer to law of attraction.

Who do you think is doing the manifesting if the masses are in a state of fear?

my thoughts on 2012 is that its not going to be the end of the world, its just going to be the end of the world as we know it, like a huge change is going to take place. something like an enlightenment of the people is going to occur.

This for sure and like hard wired said, it might be a change for the better. I believe *something* will happen, but I would like to hope its just things getting cleaned up.

It's understood that subconscious beliefs shape your reality and what you experience. I can't go into how this is even scientifically possible, because I can't explain it...I just can't. It's all subjective.

I agree it should have went to ED. But to be fair, it still has a place here seeing as it kinda is about a prophecy. And prophecy is basically seeing the future, and BD is where that belongs.

But still... Although it has an excuse to be here, it kinda belongs more in ED.

My brother showed me a video yesterday on "2012 Will Not be the end of time, NASA says."
In it, they brought up some good points. They said how the mayan calender has differnt numbers for each date. On December 21st, 2012 the number is 13 00 00. But that doesn't mean the end of the world. They said that a new calender starts up. (I can't remember the exact wording.) They also said how the last know, threat erasing disaster was 26million years ago, with the dinosaurs.

But I just don't quite understand why people are so defensive of this. Do they really want the world to end? What about the rest of their lives? I'm still young, I have a lot I want to do in my life.

An amazing amount of wisdom juroara, though I fear it fell on deaf ears.

In all fairness Nina, - Y2K had little merit to it. It had to do with computer chips interpreting the year 2000 as '00 and therefore everything reseting. Some things DID go bonkers in 2000, but not on a massive global scale as we expected.

Computer technology is very young and is very much still in its infant stages. The Mayan civilization (2000 BC to 250 AD) was a thriving one in which the people were very well known for their art, architecture, and mathematical and (arguably better than our own) astronomical systems. They accurately predicted eclipses, they knew planets where spherical (not flat) amongst a myriad of other unexplainable things they knew thousands of years ago that our own sciences only confirmed maybe a hundred to a few hundred years ago.

Taking into account their advanced calendars, their systems of keeping time based on the movement of celestial bodies, and their track record of accuracy - I think it's pretty ignorant for people to say "Nothing will happen". On the flip side, I think it's also pretty ignorant for people to say "This and this will happen" when the ONLY thing the Mayans said regarding 2012 was that our current world (meaning age, not Earth) as we know it would end.

My thoughts on the whole thing? Don't be so gullible and jump to laughable conclusions that spur you into building an underground bunker. And don't think any "one" person has everything figured out. Remember that a lot of the Mayan writings were senselessly burned and destroyed by those fucktard Christians lead by Cortez. My attitude is wait and see.

I have no idea what's going to happen, but I would be not so smart to claim that I do know.

Eeh just prepare your self spiritualy for the jump , in my case I don't care if their is cataclisms I'll handle them if they happen ( I don't believe their will be anyways )

well, about the second part of your post, They say due to the planetary alignment with the milkyway on 2012 their might be some weird stuff happening, specially from the sun,,, (I can't think of the right term right now), If scientist already now about all this or anything else coming, SPECIALLY if its still a couple of years ahead!, they would refrain from telling the people.... can you imagine the caos that would bring??? If they actually told people their 'could' be a major catastrofe?? or if they had confirmed it?? I'm Not referring to any goverment conspiracy or any mulder and scully theories, NOR I'm saying some catastrofe IS indeed happening... all I'm saying is even if they knew about it, they wouldn't choose to tell us until the las moment I think...

For starters, Mayan astronomy came simply from observing the sky with the naked eye. We have a little more than just that:

Christianity really is the reason why we are behind in science and technology today, it was them who destroyed the science and burned everything from what we knew back then thousands of years ago (from what i have heard) . Just imagine what today's world would be like if they left it alone? Religion is the root of all evil.

December 21st used to be known as Yule. The former date of the New Year. This is because after Dec 21st the days begin to get longer again. Dec 21st 2012 is like the Yule of Yules. It's the end of a "celestial year" so to speak, the change of one age to another. In this case it's the age of Pisces to the age of Aquarius. The age of Aquarius is said to be a more generous time. If anyone bothered to look at the picture I posted in the last page you will see that it takes 36 years to switch over, meaning we have been undergoing this process for some time now.

Religion is the result of the fractured human condition, not the other way around. If we cure our inherent need for patterns and security, religion will no longer need to exist. If we simply got rid of religion I'm sure we'd still find reasons and ways to hate each other and start wars.

I think the theories are true, but they'll cancel each other out. Planet X will be hit by the solar flare storm and be destroyed before it reaches Earth.

My two cents:

Nothing is going to happen. I don't buy it. Freaky coincidences or not, nothing will happen, unless mankind flips out and makes it happen, though this is as equally unlikely. So, bring it on. Even if the prophecies are true, I'm curious as to how I'm going to die.

To be fair, though, no one really knows. My opinion on the matter is that nothing will happen.
