Thread: Ever woke up laughing your head off because a dream was funny?

Yes once. I thought it was really funny at the time, but when I look back now I can see that it is just embarrassingly stupid.

Yup XD I once woke up after walking into the sunset with my dream buddy, then I woke up and it was raining outside. I was still laughing for a while thinking to myself "ohh howard we have the best adventures"....then minutes later " wait I don't have a friend called howard??"

Couple times a year I wake up laughing from funny dreams. They are usually the ones that are full-on slapstick and completely nonsensical. (As opposed to the usual mostly nonsensical ones?!?)

I find them fun!

I will sometimes think up jokes in dreams. I still think they are funny for a few seconds after waking up, even if they don't make any sense. They rarely make sense. For example, I once woke and wrote down a dream-joke about sumo wrestlers having small penises. I thought it was some sort of clever pun, and was giggling my face off. I read it later, and it was complete nonsense.

One time a DC told a ridiculously cheesy joke to me, and i started laughing hysterically in a dream. I guessed that passed into waking life because i woke up bursting out laughing. Ooooh you should of seen my family's face when i woke up...

Well, I'm not sure if I've ever done that, but I did wake up sprinting while lying down, and right when my mom was walking by my room... I desperatly wish I'd had a camera at that moment

I've also snorted myself awake from laughing too much.

Not laughing, not yet anyway I HAVE woken up crying though, simply because a dream was so sad... It's weird what kind of effect they have.

Oh my gosh, yes! Everything is funnier in the morning to me anyway. I remember this one time, in my dream, in the middle of a busy street my family was doing completely ridiculous things. Like my dad had a metal pole in his hand and he held it up and did the limbo underneath it. Then my mom was pick pocketing photos of other people's kids. o_o My brother had a complete Fourth of July outfit on. It was May too. It's kind of one of those things you had to be there to laugh at.

Anyway I woke up and started laughing and then I remembered I was in a hotel room on vacation...my whole family was staring.

One time I was dreaming about being with my boss and some of his friends at work. (We are pretty close RL)
We were making jokes, then I made a joke and my boss made a counter-joke.

I woke myself up with a pretty good chuckle.

I've done just about everything you could possibly do in a dream in real life.. Laughing crying yelling walking even one time singing.
I don't do that much any more but I have definitely woken up many times laughing because of funny things that have happened.
One time at camp I woke up and I was in another room on someone else's bed asking for my pillow. lol first night of first camp, what a way to start.

One time I woke up crying at a sleepover and they were like dude why are you crying and I said STFU YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I JUST WENT THROUGH!
they were just like O.O

It was pretty intense..
Now days it's just waking up facing the other side of the bed and stuff.
I used to always wake up in different rooms and even on the couch in the living room, that stuff hasn't happened in years..
I kinda miss it, it was like SUPRISE! you know?

I must be a very unfortunate person, because whenever my boyfriend goes, "Hey, you were laughing your ass off last night. Dream something funny?" I just stare blankly at his face trying to remember something funny from the dream, but can't. I don't know, maybe my dream-self has a different sense of humor.
