^^ Glad you like it, ~Dreamer~! And "thanks" (boo) for the continued toilet malfunction viral dream incubation, I had another one last night, guess it's time to start RCing in the john.

Haha, I didn't know you had a toilet dream sign! Have you always had that?
RCing every time I use the toilet has been extremely useful for me - I've caught A LOT of dreams that way!

Here's something that happened last night that had me pretty convinced I was dreaming:
I turned off my light before going to bed, and it flickered a few times before turning off. I thought the light malfunctioning might be a dream sign and did a nose plug RC, but I was still awake.
I got into bed and closed my eyes, and I saw a light flashing through my eyelids. I opened my eyes, but the light was off. I thought, "Could it be the Remee? Am I already asleep?" But I RCed and I was still awake.
So I closed my eyes again, and saw the flashing once more. I opened my eyes and saw that the light was actually flickering. I thought, "But I turned the light off... surely this is a dream!" But several more RCs confirmed that my light really was just flickering while it was turned off...
So I got out of bed and switched it on and off again, and it stopped flickering and I went to sleep.

I didn't! I never used to have any toilet moments until I read about yours, now I've had several in the last several days.

Haha, wow! That's funny that it can catch!

I just remembered another recent one (I didn't realise I had these so often!)
The other day, I was browsing through the "Post pictures of yourself here, without discussion" thread. I was really enjoying putting faces to some of the names I've become familiar with, and I kept going back through the older pages. I was up to pictures from over a year ago, when I suddenly had to do a massive double take, because I thought I recognised a person in the picture... it was hard to tell for sure though, because it was kind of dark and on the side, so you couldn't really see his face. I immediately RCed because I thought it was totally weird and dreamlike that I would just randomly come across someone I knew in RL. I've also been dreaming about being on DV lately, and I was pretty convinced that's what was happening at this moment.
I wasn't dreaming though, so I clicked on this member's profile. All of his interests matched the person I know. I thought this was crazy, because it wasn't just some random friend, it was someone I have been really close to in the past - we went to school together, we lived together in 2007-08, and we learnt to lucid dream together... I even have a tattoo of his initials... (ahhh, young love, haha.)
We've kept in touch, and I actually recommended DV to him back in 2010-11ish, but he never mentioned that he had joined.
I kept doing RCs for the next few minutes... In fact, I sent him a message at the time to tell him about it, in which I said, "I've done like, 1000 RCs and I'm still awake."
The weirdest thing for me was that I remembered seeing his posts before, and it was bizarre to realise that this was actually someone I knew intimately, not just some stranger on the internet.
I'd also just spoken to him hours before, for the first time in months. And I'd dreamt about him earlier that week, possibly for the first time in years. So many strange coincidences made it hard to convince myself that I wasn't actually dreaming.

Oh, good, at first I thought it would be another toilet story, now I have a chance to make it through the night tonight without toilet troubles.

edit: p.s. I love your catch phrase!

Haha, it is a blessing and a curse. It's an easy reality checkpoint!

Sigh, it doesn't matter how easy the RCs are: waking, I'm vigilant ALL DAY LONG and in dreams I just sail right through without a thought about dreaming. Approaching 3 weeks with no lucids, dangit. I would like to surgically remove ALL DRY SPELLS from my life, please!

      What is my catchphrase...?

Yes it is fitting, it's a great saying.

And I had a MAJOR on-topic moment today: rounding the final corner walking towards the gym for a swim, and the entire other side of the street is lined with HUGE movie film lights, 20 feet tall, at least 8 of them, and utility trucks, etc. they're pointing these lights at a sort of derelict building (what are they hoping to film? Something inside the windows?) It was shocking, I couldn't believe it and said "I'm DREAMING I'm DREAMING I'M DREAMING..." all the rest of the way to the gym .

And thanks for any tips. This "handful of LDs, 3 weeks of nothing, couple LDs, 3 weeks of nothing, repeat" is getting really tiresome. Staying positive is a challenge with those sorts of results.

To me the most major one was when I started watching the film 'Ruby Sparks', the actress in it Zoe Kazan looks just like someone I know and have had some loving feelings towards. When I saw it I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Seeing someone famous also brings that sort of reaction. Have seen 3 people so far and all have had their moments of "is that really them?" and they all seemed to flee after realising that I realised =/

I'm back again... It's happening right now!
There is something seriously wrong with the light in my room. I can't turn it off!
Flicking the switch off just dulls the light slightly, and then it randomly flickers every few seconds.
      First step: Reality check.
Second step: Google how the hell to turn my light off, haha.

See a huge hairdo woman (the hairdo looks like the top of a giant mushroom 6 feet across) in a dream, then IWL the next day I'm walking down the street and see the biggest hairdo I've ever seen on a woman!!! (cue Twilight Zone theme)

My housemate said this today with a totally straight face:

"I don't think you can clean the mould off there without tearing up the fabric of the cosmos."

He saw me do a reality check and thought it was a fair call.

After my bedtime intention setting and getting down to sleeping, my wife IWL keeps coming to me (3 times!), turning on the light, and insists I look at the toothbrushes and identity which toothbrush is mine, and after pointing mine out, each time I say "I'm trying to sleep I don't care about the toothbrushes, I'll go buy a new one tomorrow, let me sleep!"

This completely wakes me up, I'm now frustrated because I lost my nice "sleepy feeling", and finally after the 3rd time I realised the dream-like-ness of the situation and did a nose pinch.

Several years ago, I was walking outside at my old house with a strange uneasy feeling, as if something is going to happen. Then out of nowhere I hear tires squealing and see a car flip over the guardrail above a 100 ft. drop (steep hill) Everyone was okay, with few injuries, but it was terrifying to watch! That night just after it crashed, the whole road was filled with flashing lights, a scary scene to say the least. At the time, I was not into lucid dreaming, but it was still a moment of "wow, that wasn't a dream?"

My connecting flight from Europe to the US was CANCELLED. I arrived to the US but to the *wrong coast* (only choice to reach the US last night). After spending the night and now returning to the airport, they're saying the flight is overbooked.

Rushing down to the lobby to catch the shuttle to the airport, a guy gets on at the lobby level, I run out of the elevator and around the corner, only to discover there is no lobby and I'm actually on the 2nd floor. RC RC RC RC

Yelled dream clarity, walked outside and the sun was shining brightly and the trees and grass and bushes were blowing in a breeze, and you bet son that I had to do another reality check to make sure I was in fact dreaming. It looked like the real deal.

I was playing pool last night for over an hour in waking life before I realized this was a fairly major dream sign -- kicked myself quite thoroughly and did a bunch of RCs.

I was walking outside with my parents when a horse sped by us at top speed. About thirty yards away a dude was riding another horse and yelled, "Hey, y'all catch that horse!"

How are untrained civilians supposed to catch an unfamiliar animal, particularly one that is larger than a human and running at top speeds?!?!?! That plus the "Hey, ya'll" sounds like the south to me. Shout out! I'm from NC!

When I am over-tired I start to see hallucinations after like 20 hours of no sleep. Not big things, just little flashes and darts in my peripheral. Like I see a flash in the reflection of my water-bottle which is about 90 degrees to my left. I look, nothing. I see a little gnat flying above my head. I look, nothing. Etc. Sometimes these make me do reality checks.

Sleep deprived and jet-lagged, I couldn't figure out what time it was because my iPhone for some reason had not adjusted time zones properly, so I thought I'd only slept 1-2 hours but had slept actually around 5-6, I felt very awake and worried I'd be under-rested, so I took 3mg melatonin then i found out what time it really was, every single device I touched it seemed was showing a different time.

Great, I figured, there will be a major melatonin hangover in the morning from taking it so late in the night, and I was right, but boy did I have a ton of dreams, some very vivid.
