I want to hear about the one place your mind has created in a dream, lucid or not, that has been the most vivid and lasting in your mind. I will give you mine.
It was a cliff, next to an endless body of water. I don't even remember what the dream was about, or what had been happening up to that point, or afterward. I don't remember myself in the dream, either, just this cliff, and I was on the top, looking across. It was reddish-brown rock, really jagged and cracked and broken all over, like it was really old. The piece where i am perceiving from is shaped like a long thin triangle, with the point of it facing out toward the water, and I can see another face of the cliff across from me, across one of the sides of the triangle. So imagine a river running between the side I am on and the opposite side of the cliff. I can see all the way down the other cliff face, its that far apart. But the other cliff face isn't just rock. It is the same reddish-brown aged rock, but there are doors all over this cliff face, in these ornate gold frames, sort of like old roman columns on each side holding the doors in. There are at least a hundred of them, scattered sporadically over the side of the opposing cliff. The doors themselves are gold, as well, and they have knobs on either the left or right, seemingly at random. There is no way to scale the cliff to get to the doors, they are literally on the surface of the cliff wall. I just remember seeing these doors, and just existing there, hearing the waves crash on the rocks below. The sky was clear. Other than the waves, it was quiet. I still remember that dreamscape to this day more clearly than any other dream i have had since, and it has been a few years. It felt like something straight out of a fantasy book, for real. I wish I had been lucid, I would love to know what was behind those doors...
Now I want to hear yours.
