      Not so Newbie. Questions?

ok so i found that even though im new to dreamview and even, participant lucid dreaming, that i do not face alot of the set backs others do. For one my dream recall is about 3-4 dreams a night and i can remember faces, enviroments very well, distances and plots. Ive had many unintentional lucid dreams in the past.... 5 lol but they were observant, like i knew i was dreaming but didnt put the effort to do anything about it. So i casually went along with is, most times, but now that i have a friend that is practicing lucid dreams i feel inclined to get back into it. i was more into it in grade 10 when life wasnt so intresting, now im in grade 12 and have been really focused on reality, as lame as that is, in compairison.
So i have some questions for you.

Ok so how long have you been a dreamer, or lucid practicer?

      What are your main setbacks?

What kinda stuff do you do in the dream skape?

      Tricks you want to share?

Any good reality checks to try?

What style of dreams you have if that makes sence?

Please add in any other related info, really wanna learn some new stuff, whos all in this dreamview place and willing to mingle

First, welcome to DV! Second, how cool you got a friend who likes LDing! Onto the questions now:

Ok so how long have you been a dreamer, or lucid practicer? Well, since I was 5, which would make it 14 years.

What are your main setbacks? Mainly, my dreams are too stable and start as a FA, which means I can't use reading text, clock, nose-plug and common RCs.

What kinda stuff do you do in the dream scape? Well, I'm more of the fighting type, other than fighting, go into adventures, test stuff I learn from school in dreams, study, try some questions at myself and have kids (Yes, kids lol)

Tricks you want to share? Not really, other than RCing whenever one wakes up.

Any good reality checks to try? Well, nose-plug is a good one, works for most people anyway.

What style of dreams you have if that makes sense? As I said above, my non-lucids consist of stable false awakenings, where I get up, take breakfast and leave for school, pretty boring if you ask me <.<

      Hi ^_^

Ok so how long have you been a dreamer, or lucid practicer? I have been into LDing for about a month and a half now. I had two so far
What are your main setbacks? I'm very impatient, I can't get into SP and miss very obvious signs while dreaming
What kinda stuff do you do in the dream scape? Well, I've only been there twice, once I was trapped in a specific place, so I couldn't really do anything. The second, it was set in a bedroom so I haven't really been outside yet.
Tricks you want to share? No, not really. Sorry
Any good reality checks to try? Like Walms, I prefer the nose-plug RC, but seeing as I had a cold recently, I feel more inclined to try pushing my finger through my hand.
What style of dreams you have if that makes sense? Usually really long and complicated ones ^^ sometimes involving a famous person and almost always doing something supernatural.

      Hope I helped

welcome to dream views ! i will not repeat the question... OK? good...
1-I've started lucid dreaming about 9 months
2- before i started on this i only remembered epic dream (sometime 4 in one week) at least 1 per week or so. i had had some semi lucid experience but nothing compare to now (mostly when i was breathing under water)
3-right now I'm trying to get over my sex addiction in dream cuz it ruin everything... i want to properly learn to fly. speak with dream character (i never had a real conversation with any yet)
4- as reality check i use the nose block, digital clock, lights switch, but the real one I'm trying to focus on is simply does it makes sens? (where who what why (it always work when properly used) but i have to admit its harder when you have a false awakening and wake up in your own bed.
5- my non lucid dream are often related to my past life (place and people i knew before i moved in Montreal). when I'm really involved in something i dream about it.. (video game, girls, school, hobbies...)

tips. Give it time to know your night life and waking life. the ability to turn the lucidity switch on goes with your understanding of dreams it self. you will experience new things and they're all important. I had this problem when i started i focused on lucid dream witch is in self a very abstract concept. you can't induce a lucid dream at will when you don't even know what to focus on. like i said (you may have understand but yet you didn't understand)

      1. i have been able to lucid dream ever since i have remembered my dreams, but only practicing dream control since i joined here
      2. my dream recall is really crap, and so my dreams are 80% sight related, 18% hearing (if that) and 2% touch.
      3. fly, attempt pyrokinesis and act violently towards DC's (if there are any there)
      4. i just question reality (does the time match the sunlight? are those cars traveling at a reasonable speed? what am i doing? why am i doing it?)
      5. boring ones
They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
      By dreaming, every day.

      1. I've been lucid dreaming for about a year.
      2. Well, I can't remember my dreams often.
      3. I try flying, find DG, and talk to other DCs (lame)
      4. I just question reality.
      5. Hmm, so far just walking around on foot.

Ok so how long have you been a dreamer, or lucid practicer?
      About a year
      What are your main setbacks?
I left the forum for a while, and stopped having any lucids.
What kinda stuff do you do in the dream skape?
Basic dream control, helping people, meeting fictional characters
      Tricks you want to share?
Nothing really. I do sometimes tell other people to control the dream in more advanced ways then me.

Any good reality checks to try?
      Just the standard ones.
What style of dreams you have if that makes sence?
Realistic or fantastical, generally within a pre-established world. Zombie dreams are also common.
      I'm back!

Ok so how long have you been a dreamer, or lucid practicer?
About a year and a half, I think. Maybe more, I haven't counted xD

      What are your main setbacks?
The fact that I can't do any technique that involves conscious dream entering... for some reason my body won't go into SP when I'm aware (with exception to DEILD), and let me tell you I'm good at relaxing xD I've tried naps and WBTBs and FILDS and every WILD variation I can think of. This annoys me... I mean, FILD is so god damn easy, why can't I do it -.- and when I have the chance to nap, it would be nice if I could LD while I'm at it.

What kinda stuff do you do in the dream skape?
      Exploring, meditating, triggering my senses.

      Tricks you want to share?
Not any I can really think of.

Any good reality checks to try?
Only have ever used the nose RC. I can't see how that one would ever fail.

What style of dreams you have if that makes sence?
I guess realistic ones... quite mundane really.
      Lolwut.
