      Dild expert?

I was wondering if you can get really good at DILD and be able to recognize a dream just about every time you dream? Is this possible? I have got to the point that I have about 2 DILDs a week just from recognizing a dream sign or something will just make me think it is a dream.

It's definitely a possibility. Before I went back to school, for a few weeks I had at least one lucid dream a night (which has pretty much been killed). There's probably people out there who can have multiple LDs each night if their practices are refined enough. And WILDing, if one's perfected it, is a surefire way to get LDs every night.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Ya, in a week where I was really focused I had 9 lucid dreams. This was before school though, I haven't had a lucid in a while

When I'm not in school I can easily hit one lucid per night, but with school it turns into one a week...

Anyway, I'm pretty sure if you get enough practice then you will be able to hit lucids a lot. Once I get stability and clarity under control I should start getting better. :shades:

It's a matter of practice to get the lucids, then you should master stabilization, control, and clarity. Then you're all set!

Indeed you can! I'm getting around 5 or so lucids/day when there is enough sleep.

Most people aren't hardcore enough to do day-long RCs. XP

Yup, awareness is the way to go. It's beneficial in many other ways too.

Awareness alone can cause lucidity so there isn't a dire need for reality checks. Although... if you stop doing them for a while, you'll end up forgetting what they are when you do become lucid. Usually memories aren't as strong when you're trying to remember something in a dream.

I sensed my name in this thread.

Yes it's possible, but awareness it something you learn to build up over time, so it's really no faster than mastering MILD for example, imo.
