I can taste in my dreams as well. I have spent entire lucid dreams just running around and tasting/eating random things .

I can taste things in my dreams; I've eaten a few food items and licked a wall once... That didn't taste so good. =/
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I've tasted things in my dreams a few times, but I can usually only describe whether it was a good or bad taste, not what it tasted like.

For some reason, a lot of things in my dreams taste like strawberries, or rather, strawberry flavoring.

Oh my. Cheesy garlic bread is just amazing in general. I shall definitely have to try it in a dream. Damn, you have successfully resurrected my munchies !

      Chocolate. Cake.

Best cake I've ever eaten in my life was in one of my first lucids.

For me some things taste off and others taste like they should. Then there is the super special category of "most amazing thing I've ever tasted". Had a giant cream filled pastry that fell into that category a few days ago.

There is--though I do not know how there is or why there is--a sense of infinite peace and protection in the glittering hosts of heaven. There it must be, I think, in the vast and eternal laws of matter, and not in the daily cares and sins and troubles of men, that whatever is more than animal within us must find its solace and its hope. I hope, or I could not live.

The one and only time I have ever tasted anything in my dreams was the time there was this lady and I licked her neck. (I know weird) Before or after, I never tasted again. Maybe if I became lucid more often I could try tasting things.

What people are you talking about who said that? I have never heard that before (lots of other things like 'everyone dreams in black and white' and other ridiculous stuff). All senses are generally available to me in dreams (of course, I don't always experience them all, 'specially if the dream isn't very vivid). Heh, food is one of those weird things in dreams for me, where it can taste absolutely amazing or completely vile. I haven't had a dream where I just run around eating things, but I have had various dreams where there is food involved. Usually a good experience, but there have been a few revolting ones as well.

Hm... I will have to try this out a bit more in a lucid, if my brain ever decides to grant me some on a regular basis that is.
