      Any feel pain?

Just last night I had a dream where I accidentally lit part of my arm on fire (about the size of a small mole) and I remember it hurting a lot. I thought it was weird because you normally never feel pain in dreams. Does anyone else feel pain in their dreams or is it just me?

The pain is only what you imagine it too be....if you think it's going to feel like a pinch it will, if you think it will feel like a gun shot well then :p And while it physically hurts in the dream the pain won't transfer into waking life so no worries.

I've felt much pain in regular dreams, more than I care to discuss. Sharp pain, soreness (including that from being super-tired... in a dream!), headaches, and other things like that. I've also felt incredibly realistic splitting pain once during SP, back when I used to get bouts of SP all the time from stress and tiredness.

In all of my lucids, never. I simply don't think about pain. If I do manage to get stabbed or shot, or something else that could otherwise cause pain, I just feign invulnerability. Even if I can't control any part of the dream, if I just don't think about the pain, it won't happen.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Yup, I've felt pain in dreams. Pain is just another sensation created by the mind.
      It's all in your head.

I don't understand where people get these ideas from. "No pain." "Dream in black and white" "electricity doesn't work" etc. etc. It is just as real as any other dream experience can be. 'Course I have felt pain, of course many others feel pain in dreams. It is there because it is expected.

It is just a myth. I hate myths about dreams. I have felt pain in my non lucids before but never really in my lucids because I know I am invincible. Anything you can posibly imagine (even things you can't conociously imagine) can be experienced in dreams.

You feel what you expect. Thinking it will hurt will only make it so. Same goes for other emotions. I think adrenaline is the only one that isn't false. I could be wrong though.

I once had a big hammer hit me and it felt very heavy, I woke up immediately.
Just last night I dreamed a creature was pulling me apart, it felt quite uncomfortable but no physical pain sensation.
At the fork in the road I turned left while everyone else turned right..

I once took my heart out in a lucid dream and it hurt, it was still painful after I woke up as well . It might just be the mind making pain after waking up but i don't know.

I felt pain in a lucid just this morning. I had just become lucid when i noticed a beautiful blonde haired girl. I noticed she had a beautiful red colored eye and the other was a yellowish-green. I complimented her on her eyes; then she just attacked me. She pulled out a really long dagger. She was trying to stab me in the face. I caught her hands, but i couldn't hold her back. She eventually stabbed me right in the middle of the forehead. It didn't hurt too bad, it was more pressure than anything. Although it was unpleasant. Especially when she pushed the dagger all the way through my head and out the back. I blacked out and appeared in a different dream scene. I'm definitely glad i didn't expect it to hurt alot or it could have been alot more unpleasant.

I've been hurt by guns before in dreams.

Here's an example from someone I know:
My friend D------ constantly has serial lucid dreams about an alternate reality of total world war in 2020. He once told me that one day his leg got blasted by a grenade and it hurt A LOT. He said that the doctors implanted an electrical thing in his leg that made everything well. Then he went swimming, the device shorted out, it hurt a lot again, and he was again put into the field hospital. LOL!

I feel that you generally have control over the pain you feel in dreams. Personally I have been tortured and not feel the pain while another night I was shot in the face and kind of didn't "prepare" myself for it....hurt like a bitch. lol

I always feel pain, but it's always much duller than what it would be in reality. It feels numbed. It also doesn't tend to last very long

Never. At most, just a sour feeling. If I ever get 'killed' in a LD, either nothing will happen or I'll just get transferred to another DC.
      Goals:
      1. Attacking my enemies instead of running away from them~ Ultimately taking control of my dream situation.
      2. Remember that I can always summon a shield around me to protect myself in dreams. No need to fear!

Yes, for me it's quite common to feel pain in my lucid dreams. "Then I started to wake up. So I took the few seconds I had and calmed down. When I woke up I didn't lift a finger. So I started to lucid dream again. I did my first successful DEILD. A few seconds into it and my eyes started to hurt, you know when you keep your eyes open for long enough they start to feel dry. That's what happened. I wondered if my eyes were still open? There was no possible way to know. I tried to wake myself up a few times but it didn't work. So once they stopped hurting I calmed down." That's an example.
