      The best advice I can give is not to stress out about when your next LD will be. It'll come!

      I've been kicking butt in my lucid dreams since October 2009 - twenty months.
      We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
      some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Ha, 20 months? Well... I'm at 20 days! You've got the right attitude though, you can't get stressed over it. People make Lucid Dreaming a bit harder sounding that it has to be so don't think that it's difficult to achieve or it will only be so. Keep on dreaming and I know you'll get there.

      I've been actively doing this for about a year and a half. I've had weeks where I had a lucid everynight. I've had months where I've had none. It all depends.

      You require about 8 hours of sleep every single night anyway-- you have plenty of chances for dreaming. Relax and keep your desire steady.

      I started a while back in 2010, but gave up and came back to it in October (Halloween to be exact) and since then I'd say I'm making great progress. Lately I've been trying WILD a lot more, but it's hard to do since my brother sleeps in my room when he comes over so I can't use my alarm clock. I used to get about one lucid a month. Now I'm up to two, trying to make it one a week.

      Almost a year, though i've taken loads of breaks. I'm currently doing nothing and have been for awhile except writing notes on dreams. I plan on starting to WBTB again in summer though. I might start tonight because it's my last day tomorrow.

      About one year and one month of serious effort. Dry spells suck, and lack of noticeable progress sucks. Besides that (lol) I have had a great time.

      Trying harder ==> no results
      Trying harder ==> no results
      Trying harder ==> no results
      Trying harder ==> Hey I got better!
      *repeat*
      (I can never let myself take breaks for some reason. I try sometimes, but then just end up back at it the same day)

      The hardest part is probably continuing to practice after trying and failing for a week. It is massively more demotivational when I have a lucid dream 5/7 days one week then 1/7 the next. Makes you feel like all the effort you put into it is wasted, but I refuse to stop trying and eventually I realize that I really have improved and gained experience.

      What I've learned: If you can manage to have fun in the process of learning to lucid dream then no length of dry spell can break you down. Enjoy the journey. Don't wait for the destination to be happy.

      just don't stress about it, try taking a break

      I had LDs naturally when I was younger, but nothing compared to them now.
      I joined here in August 2010, I practiced until late September/early October, I stopped coming to this site for the end of October, all of November and December, because I slipped into a suicidal depression, I had barely any LDs in that time. Then in late January I had a ranom LD, and thought of this site and re entered the vortex of addiction I call DV been here again since then.

      I started near the end of 2010, itīs been about half a year now. I tried some techniques at first, but soon noticed that I canīt fall asleep while repeating a mantra. So I just do some RC once in a while and keep positive. My dream controls not too great, but itīll get better. (See? Positiveness!) Also donīt be confused, the growth of that number over there on the left side of the screen will slow down now that I donīt count short lucids anymore. (The real number is closer to about 20-30.)
