I really hate it when people scoff at my interesting in lucid dreaming

And I'd even go as far as saying I hate the people who scoff - especially when they don't know a second thing about it. I rarely share my interest in lucidity with people but when I do I expect the same respect as I show their interests. I've had people respond with: What's the point of doing that? Why on earth do you want to do that? It's a waste of time. It's silly! Don't do that! Yet, these people, if you offered them a jet pack to play with, or said they could visit a parallel dimension they'd surely go straight away. Lucid dreaming can provide the same satisfaction you'd get from doing that. And you learn a lot about yourself in the process. When someone scoffs - ridicules - something without knowing anything about it, it tells you a lot about that person - possibly everything you need to know.
