      Afraid to Wake Up?

So, I had my third lucid last night, and I ended up becoming fully lucid by the end (after slapping my friend's face to see if she was a DC ). But, I realized that I was getting close to the end of the dream, and I panicked because I realized there was a good chance I'd wake up into SP. I started freaking out and tried to jar myself awake to produce the same effect as an alarm clock (repeatedly hitting my head on a car ) which I supposed worked, because I didn't wake up into SP. But, those few seconds of being awake in bed before I try to move my arm was probably the most scared I've ever been. And if I DID go into SP... *shudder*

So... uh... any tips for not being afraid of SP in my dreams? xD

Edit: Oh, and I got lucid because this alien dude told me I was in a dream. He was pretty awesome. His buddies took over my neighborhood.

It's all in your head. None of it is real. The sp shouldn't last that long anyway. @ hitting your head on the car. Next time it happens let yourself wake up into sp, try to control the hallucinations. You can have a lot of fun that way.

If you wake up in SP and you get hallucinations and stuff try manipulating them. Like a while ago I read on this forum that someones hallucinations was them getting attacked by little red monsters, and that he started using his mind to fight them off and flick them everywhere. If you hear scary whispers try manipulating the voice to say something funny. It can make it a more pleasant experience. Also you can have some cool hallucinations in sp, like seeing everything as if you were looking through a kaleidoskope. If you think sp is scary then it will be scary.

I've never once woken up into SP after a lucid. (Ironically, I used to get bouts of SP where I'd wake up into it after a normal dream, but that was before I learned about LDing.)

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Even if you were to enter SP, you could always try a DEILD... or WILD if you already opened your eyes!

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I have never woken into SP, but if I were you, I would try to stay calm and not move at all and see if i can enter another LD like that.
