I hear tooth-related dreams are quite common, usually involving them falling out or rotting. Usually they are associated with anxiety. |

I've been lucid dreaming as a hobby for 3 years now, and I've experienced the works much like others who lucid dream for several years: taste, feeling, sound, smells. And occasionally, pain. I used to feel really harsh stinging feelings in my feet if I ever dreamed barefoot (I often dreamed I had no shoes and was in the center of a crop circle that had been harvested, leaving behind sharp, jagged, splintery stubs everywhere-- running through it hurt like fuck). |

I'm not asking for an interpretation, but rather highlighting what can be at times extreme pain in the dream world, and how its possible to feel such extreme sensations. Any teeth anxiety related dreams are related to teeth falling out, not physical pain in ones face and gums. |

Nightmares generally involve extreme sensations whitouth the waking up, so long as you stay focused on the dream it will continue, regardless of how intense something might feel. |

Once I had a dream where, as soon as I became lucid, I tried to fly. But instead, I fell down and hit the ground with my spine. It hurt as hell. Afterwards, I went to another room of the house I was in, feeling confused. Everything was so real, senses were multiplied, late summer sun piercing through the window blinds, wooden floor, noises in the background... but no dream control. In that other room, there were some guys with a knife. They were fighting and one of them told me he was going to stab me. Hahahaha, my reaction was something like: go ahead, I'm curious about the pain (cause I wasn't scared, considering being lucid). So he stabbed me in my left shoulder, I definitely felt the pain, but it wasn't that strong. After that I began to control the situation and DCs, I turned them from being violent to being friendly, then I left the room. |

The most pain I ever felt would have to be when I got stabbed by a jagged knife in my dreams. When faced with those kind of dreams I forcibly wake myself up. I do this by shaking my head slowly to one side than the other while focusing on waking up. |

I've felt TERRIBLE pain in dreams; it's almost scary how strong it can feel! |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Sounds terrible. This is exactly what I was looking for Puffin, someone else remembering a really disturbing dream that leads to considerably harsh pain beyond slight uncomfortable sensations sometimes felt in dreams. I find it interesting how you also were lying on something with a figure over you, the same way my painful dream started... very interesting. |

Maybe I'm asking a silly question, but have you considered, that it was real pain that got incorporated into your dream? I remember couple of regular (not lucid) dreams, where I had considerable pain and upon waking up I realized, that I was in some crooked position, or a pimple formed behind my ear (I know |

Yeah, I've been trying to assume what real world influences could have caused this but, as stated in the OP, it was not the sensation of teeth grinding (nor could I replicate it) and the pain seemed to disappear immediately as the dream changed and I got distracted. I have not experienced this before, or after the dream. I don't have any history of dental issues either, and it was not nerve pain from sensitive teeth. |
|
Your experience sounds scary as hell!. I was once in a lucid and a doctor DC had me tied down to a chair. He got plyers and was about to start pulling out my teeth. I thankfully managed to force myself awake. |

I've had some pretty bad sensations. One time my hand was deformed and I had webbed finger, it felt like the skin between my fingers was being stretched tight to the point it was going to rip. Also had a dream where my elbow and knee joints were bending backwards, it was hard to move and very painful. |

I would say its to do with your throat chakra, its your sub conscious pointing out something not conscious to you. Meditate and/or use crystals to help balance your energys. Just my two cents |
