SP - Can you control the hallucinations?

      Hello,

I havent been here in a while, recently i just got back into lucid dreaming, i forgot how interesting it was!
Anyways i want to try a WILD but im scared in case i see some scary things while in SP. I was just wondering..

Can you actually manipulate and control these hallucinations?

Sorry for the noob question lol

      Thank you.

You should be able to change/control the hallucinations. I don't know how, though, because I have never seen any hallucinations while in sleep paralysis.

This depends on how well you can control your LDs and visualization meditations. HIs are highly mutable if you know how to do it.

Yes, you can. I have done it a few times before. You just need to have a good imagination and visualize what you would like to change.

I totally agree with mancon..... I couldn't at first but with practice, confidence and belief in yourself you surely can. Just try and if you get something scary say in your head ((as you may have read you can't really speak while in SP)) "your not real" and ask it what it wants or represents....things can change through will power of the mind...and what I tend to do is when I WILD I imagine fairies and nice things...might sound a bit pony lol but it really helps. Good luck my friend

After some testing i was able to manipulate them. It works the same way as in dreams.
      I realize that i'm dreaming.

Even if you can't, I find that it's easier to STOP sleep paralysis than to keep it going. If you see something and start to freak, you can always just snap yourself out of it, wake up, and go eat some cookies. ^^

If my eyes are closed, I won't get any hallucinations. However, if just one of my eyes is open, I'll start getting some crazy hallucinations of where my eye is looking. It's a very trippy experience. I remember my covers waving around, the ceiling turning into a bunch of needles and waving around. I also a few times remember seeing everything in black and white.
