Was I lucid? Please comment and share

I have been practicing astral projection for sometime now, as well as attempting lucidity within dreams and dream recall.*

I find it hard to remain lucid on most occasions when I become aware that I'm dreaming but last night was different.*
I'd like to explain what I experienced so any readers can comment to help explain or share similar experiences.*

When I became aware that I was dreaming, it was quite clear and I literally told myself that I was dreaming and would become lucid. Testing my boundaries, which I was aware were limitless, I walked into a building wall. It was all black inside, and walking/floating in swim like motions through it gave my body tingly sensations all over. It was a nice but weird experience. I recall wanting to fly and I tell myself that I am in control and that I am lucid so I flap my arms like a bird. I take off in the air BUT I NEVER GLIDE LIKE I WOULD LIKE TO. WHY IS THIS? Before realizing I was dreaming I was caught up in a zombie invasion (as usual). So I though to myself, I'm going to control my dream and relax. The next minute I was sitting on a chair at an outside pub. It was nice. I was sitting to next to one of my best friends! I asked the bartender for a nice drink and I began wishing for a nice drink. He held up a tray with appetizing strawberry shots! This is where my experience makes me question whether I am lucid or not. I walk over to a booth table with two cute young brothers at each end. It was their birthdays, and I'd forgotten a gift for one of them. I imagined two desirable gifts and I saw them appear under the table. I told the boy to look under the table and he found the two presents. One I remember was a spider man toy. They were packaged and everything. That's all I remember.*

Was I lucid? What did I experience? I was in control but I wasn't!

I cant sense if you were lucid or not but you definetely had great drea control. They often go hand in hand but from reading your post its unclear. Did you feel the dream was more vivid than usual? did you get a rush of excitement when you realised you were dreaming? Are you sure you were aware or does it just seems like you remember it that way because whenever i have a lucid dream its as of theres no such thing as dream recall and i can remember the entire dream as if it was a real memory

If you are aware you are dreaming you are lucid, even if you don't control the dream.

Having control over your actions or what happens tends to be the next step.

As for the flying...I tend to swim in the air more. I grew up swimming and it's the most prominent sensation and memory my brain connects to, despite having flown a plane myself.

Your mind has to be able to make the connections for you to dream it. You will usually connect to the sensations and images your mind is most familar with, even if they become merged with others and seem unfamiliar.

Yes, it is lucid dream because you are aware that you are dreaming. Nice view and story.

I agree with the other posters, however I feel compelled to mention that the going through the wall part may have been done outside of your body, astral projection. This sort of thing you have described is something I have read about from different authors detailing projection experiences. So it is a possibility that you went from projection to lucidity.

      Your resistance to something,
Is the only power it has over you.
      This too, will pass.

Most of my dream was a blur, but when I began realising I was dreaming, it became a lot more vivid. I don't have to recall my experience like I normally do with dreams. I became excited when I realised I was lucid and really focused on remaining in control. Thats when I decided to walk through the building. I can still remember all the sensations and everything.

I have had one similar experience when I was younger, I was walking through my back gate at my house, an I attempted to walk through the kitchen wall, I had intense vibrations in my head and body and I wasnt able to handle it. Thank you for the help

My opinion: if you have to ask "Was I lucid?", then you definitely weren't. You would know it for sure yourself if it were to happen: you wouldn't need "confirmation" from a third party.

most people who have semi lucid dreams ask this question, these type of dreams are lucid dreams, their just low in lucidity but thery still count because there is a sppectrum of lucidity levels.

Ah... The same kind of thing happened to me a few days ago. I knew I was dreaming but didn't have much control.
      Oof.
