If you think about it Lucid Dreaming can be the greatest enhancement to your life ever ..

Lets say we all sleep roughly 1/3 of our entire life away. But being able to have these incredible adventures in your lucid dreams actually makes it more exciting to go to sleep than ever before.

Im still amazed at how people react everytime i ask them something about this more than half of the people dont even remember their dreams nor do they care.

I walked on the surface of the sun, i flew through space and explored new worlds. You can say its not real, but the chemicals that are released in your brain that makes you feel these awesome feelings sure as hell are real.

I have done my amount of drugs(not sure if we can go in detail) but the rush from a clear bright lucid dream is pretty unmatched.

I used to have a mindset like "goddamn, now i have to sleep and when i wake up i have to work" now its more like, well i wonder what i'll do tonight"

As a beginner, I have to say this is exactly what I'm looking forward to. My dreams are usually strange and not particularly exciting. Why should I waste my nights on those when I can go on amazing adventures or have everything my heart desires? I know I'm getting closer, and I've even started looking forward to sleeping each night, knowing tonight could be the night when I finally have an amazing, fully lucid dream.

Your post is truly inspirational to those of us who are still trying.

I always get suprised on how some people react when I first tell them about lucid dreaming. How is it POSSIBLE to not get exited??

The "it isn't real" argument is just stupid. Movies aren't real either, but everyone pay a lot just to watch.

Exactly. Same goes for TV, books, video games, and a lot of other forms of entertainment. At least you can experience lucid dreams firsthand.

I wish I would have known about this back when I was 5 years old. I hated going to bed. Now, I look forward to it the way I would look forward to a vacation.

Lucid dreaming is absolutely a splendid way to turn your sleep into much more exciting. I can tell that since I started to lucid dream I have began to sleep early from my own will , because I know that I will always go on a unique adventure . In addition to that when you lucid dream you use time that you are usually not utilizing , so in other word it is also a great way utilize your time.

Yeah I know right!? You can only gain from lucid dreaming: Time, Great Experience, Fulfill any wish, Boost you awareness... and much more ,but people still do not do that even though lucid dreaming is scientifically proved. In my opinion it is just because they are afraid to try it and I have heard so many excuses from people I know and from people around the internet why they are not willing to try to lucid dream from "I am too lazy to write my dreams" to "Maybe we should't try to remember our dreams since we are not meant to do that" ; Men are not meant to fly ,but they do and laziness is not a proper excuse for anything. At least I know that there are some enlightened people out there by being a part of this community.

I have to agree with OP, LDing can help alot personally , it enables you to test situations that you can or cannot be in waking life .
It can be a very deep personal journey.

Yeah lucid dreaming is amazing... I'm still learning, but I know it will be worth it when I can have a lucid every few days, or even more! People just don't want to put effort intoa lot of stuff. They'll never know how good a lucid dream is until they have one. But if you tell people about it, they'll know they can do anything in a lucid dream, and probably won't waste it trying to wake themselves up.

Along with being the greatest form of entertainment possible, you can gain confidence, treat physchological problems, face your fears, rehearse real life situations, use it to become more creative, to gain awareness. People only act like they don't want to try because they think that others might think they are different (mankinds biggest fear). If they even had a taste of the ultimate power they would be convinced and start trying it by themselves.
No one can tell me that they haven't daydreamed about doing something awesome, no one.

Lucid Dreaming opens doors to fantastical w0rlds and those with closed minds will be stuck in the same ignorant w0rld forever.
Im so glad that i found Dream Views because reading yous conversations on here is so much more interesting than the people i am around on a daily basis,Lucid Dreamers are remarkable people.

Yeah lucid dreams are amazing, they helped me get through depression after just 1. That and they allow the rare possibility of people to communicate rather directly with their subconscious which is a very valuable thing. Of course being all powerful is fun too.

mhm, yup the greatest. Awhile after I discovered what lucid dreaming was and had numerous ones myself I always wondered why I've never even heard of it.

mind boggling how something this great is hardly discussed or known about- well from my own personal experiences of trying to talk to people about lucid dreaming

I agree wholeheartedly. Imagine going to sleep and dreaming about friends, enemies, and plot lines that continue and develop on a nightly basis...it would be like living two separate lives. Now that's amazing

Thats the way i look at it. Im a very calm type of person who isnt too out going but still is very down to earth. I like being home and in my comfort zone. But i also wish to do alot of things that i wouldnt be comfortable doing. So lucid dreaming is definitely going to be a staple in my lifestyle if i can get good it at. And if i can experience the things that i want to accomplish in real life but in my dreams then i would be completely satisfied

LDing has changed me from a completely left brained thinker into a much more balanced one.
“When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.”
