Sounds like you were almost to a dream state, but WILD takes patience and practice. I often have to wait 30 minutes or more after SP for a real REM phase to start. There are many ways to initiate a LD from this state. Here is a link where I teach just one of the methods. http://www.dreamviews.com/f157/dream...aining-133302/ I hope it helps. Scroll down to the last section and take a look. Good luck and have fun! |

Thanks alot, ill check this out and try tomorrow morning, peace, thanks again! |

What works for me 95% of the time, is once I get SP I just lie completely still and dont think about anything. eventually the vibrations/strange noises etc, will go away. At this point I wait a couple more seconds and open my eyes. I always find myself lying in bed and would normally think I woke up. But If you reality check, you should be dreaming. (as long as your in rem.) |

Alright, I see, I have one question though, if I know im SP, will my actual eyes open or do i have to want to get out of bed for that? |
|
well during the SP, I keep my eyes closed and just stay aware. Then SP and all its effects will just kind of ware off after a few seconds to a minute. Then you just open your eyes and you will feel like your awake but you should be dreaming. You literally have to reality check because if you don't you WILL think you've woken up. Its that realistic. Of course this is just what works for me but from what I've seen throughout the site, most people WILDing do something along those lines. Good luck |

I still don't quite get SP, in that i've not experienced it, or I have and its never makes me feel like i'm actually paralyzed. My body floats out and I eventually lose the sense of it..... but ever since I was a kid I've always been able to make that split jump out of it to a standing position in a moments notice for my own reasons. Still makes me unsure if I've experienced it. I will say though when I looked into sleep paralysis, I did find out how to getmyself better sleep in general. I read stuff saying things about the random itches/twitches and how the thought structures sound in my mind will become and now when I go to lay down.... I can put myself to sleep in like twenty minutes.... something I used to not be able to do without being a bit high/very worked out/melatonin so..... either way i've found some good out of looking into sp XD |

This is a common confusion. SP happens every night, but is easily and almost instant to break it, unless you have a certain sleep disorder. When a healthy person does WILD it just feels like a heavy blanket or like it would take effort to move. Concious thought can break it instantly, so you will never be able to test it. You should assume when you get a heavy feeling and start some drifty feelings that you are there, but do not test it. |

Aight Smouse, I see, just need to make sure im in SP and go for it, ill try that next time. And Oceanboy, how do you get your self to sleep in 20 min? Its taking me over an hour to go to sleep, and im suspecting the same mechanism that makes you sleep is the one for SP, as it also takes me over an hour to do that, unless im half asleep already.... |
|
Well its a mix of things I do to get my body spacing out. Gotta make sure your bathroom needs taken care of course X3 so you don't have to get up in ten min half way int..... you gotta learn to ignore the little itches n stuff. After you've been laying in the same position for a while, you'll notice em happen, almost as if they are trying ot make you move. Don't |

I find the easiest way to go from SP into a Lucid Dread is to float/levitate out of bed instead of trying to get up and walk. |
