Dreams just randomly popped into my head

Hi their, I'm new to this forum so please excuse me if I post this in the wrong section.

Okay so I have started trying to learn to Lucid Dream for the last few days (reading tutorials etc) And I'm currently on the stage were I'm trying to get better at remembering dreams.

So yesterday when I was going to sleep I was talking to my self saying stuff like "I will remember my dream" over and over again. To my saddnes when I woke up I've immideatly tried to remember any possible dream I might have had, my head was empty I've had no clue what I've might have dreamed... Or at least so i thought.

Later that day during my way to school, something just popped in my head and I rememberd a dream I've had on during the night about a bus. Then later during school another dream just popped into my head.

So my question is: Is it usual that you will start remembering you're dreams through out the day when you're trying to recall dreams? Or is it just me?

Welcome! I'm kind of new here as well.

I don't think it's just you. Sometimes in the morning while I am trying to remember dreams I just can't, and then randomly during the day I start to remember little bits and pieces of the dreams, or I just suddenly remember an entire dream that I've had that night. I guess it's just how the mind works, hehe.

Usually you remember the bulk of your dream in the morning but often as your are just day-dreaming you happen to recolect an image or scene from a dream that you did previously not remember, it happens to everybody. As you get better at recalling your dreams you will remember more and more. Anyways you haveo nly been trying for a few days, you will start remembering dreams in the morning.

Try not to move as you wake up in the morning. Keep your eyes closed. Don't think about your day. That way you stay in that state, when dream recall is easier. And leave out word "will" from your mantra. Use "I remember my dreams".

And yes, more you think about your dreams and about your intent to remember them, more often they will pop in your mind. My best time to remember dreams even from decades ago is evening, as I'm falling alseep. Happy dreams

This happens to me. A lot of the time I'll wake up and not remember anything. Then a few hours later, the dream will randomly pop into my head and I'll write it down.

Yes something similar to what you dreamed about can trigger those memories, say for example you dreamed about being in a bus, as you catch the bus to school the memory might come to you. This happens quite a bit, maybe the more you focus on dreams during the day the higher the chances.

Yes that's common for me. I sometimes remember dreams right when I wake up, and at other times, something that happens to me in the day makes the dream come rushing back.
