Hi, |

Hi, |
|
That is a common misconception. |
|
As Auron said, keep the dream as your goal. You want to get to a point where you are no longer thinking about your body. You should be totally in your own head. Let yourself drift as close to sleep as you can, without totally losing consciousness. Imagine a simple dream scene you would like to enter, and try to encourage any strange dreamlets or hallucinations that start to happen. |
|
The problem with the sleep paralysis concept that is out there, is that people end up focusing on their bodies instead of their mind. |

Sleep paralysis is over-rated. I hardly ever practice it. There are a plethora of methods to attain a lucid dream. If something is not working simply move on to a different technique. Personally, I shoot for hypnogogia in the Theta brainwave state of sleep onset. I combine this with visualization. This works for me... discover the thing that works for you. Good luck to you! |

Do not forget the one one KEY thing here! You need to fall asleep! You also need to stay aware, and that is the part that takes talent and practice. If you are just laying still, you will never move forward, YOU ARE TRYING TO FALL ASLEEP! |

Bingo! Once I realized the most important thing is just to fall asleep, I started having WILDs all the time. Kind of keep in mind that you want to attain some awareness, But just do what you normally would do to try and get to sleep on a regular night. Don't necessarily expect anything to happen, just sleep. |
