      Life Changing Experiences Anyone?

Hello everyone I've just joined DV about less then a week, and have been interested in LD about a month now. I was wondering if anyone has had a profounding life chaning experiences due to Lucid Dreaming. An Enlightenment of some sort or questions answered from Lucid Dreaming. Please share your experiece. This was one of the reason why I became interested in LD, because I wanted answer about myself from my subconscious that I'm unable to find during waking life.

Yeah I've received some amazing answers from my subconscious over the last year. I suffer from quite complex mental health stuff. I won't really go into it but there's a voice/hallucination that I hear, see in waking life. I have quite a few actually. But anyway I really wanted to understand why my mind felt it needed to create this person (who has been with me for nearly 8 years).

At first every time I tried to find him in a dream he would appear behind a blurry wall and the words "Access Denied" would flash up in red. I was annoyed but I took this to mean I wasn't ready to understand yet. However I kept persisting and I got closer and closer to the answer. In one dream I found him and I asked who he was and he handed me his mobile (cell) phone and there was a message saying "You are only a small part of something much bigger." A few weeks later I found him again and I asked him and he answered something along the lines of.
"I'm the person you wish you could be. I represent confidence, perfection, happiness...." and a load of other things I don't remember. I had kind of already suspected that's what he was but it felt good to really hear it and I've come to accept and appreciate the voices in my head and I've been learning to work with them instead of just drugging myself up to get rid of them. It feels good.

I'm not sure I can go so far as to say that LD has resulted in a massive change in lifestyle or worldview, but my first LD did affect me in a positive, and fairly profound way. It showed me that I too could have these kinds of experiences; it showed me that dreams can be important, useful and worthwhile; it showed me that my consciousness is bigger, better and more rich than I previously thought. It improved my self-esteem, and increased my sense of wonder at the human mind.

It wasn't life changing, but definitely profound: I dreamt of a woman I know in physical reality. In the dream, I overheard her talking about how she could conceal from me that she had taken up smoking.

This was a woman, for whom I had the highest regard, and from whom I did not at all suspect anything underhanded, or deceitful.

About six months later, I discovered that she was indeed on purpose keeping something from me (though it had nothing to do with smoking).

how deceitful? Does her dishonesty hurt you any differently if you hadn't known about it. Everyone has an unflattering side that they wish to not share with others.

Mildly deceitful. My point is not concerned with how I felt about her honesty, or lack thereof, but merely with the fact, that the dream made me aware of something, that much later was revealed to be true. I consider the dream rather prophetic.

in the past i've had some dreams that later played out as though I had memories of it happening before..like deja vu. Other times it would seem like I would have to somehow translate it or try to incorporate it in the waking world in a way that made more sense.

Yeah Ld'ing has had a huge influence on my life and i love it, I'm now excited about going to sleep and don't think of it as a waste of time. I also found out what my subconscious thought about a girl I used to have a huge crush on but always thought she wasn't for me. In my dream I asked my subconscious what it thought about her and it said I had wasted the last six years of my life on her which was true. After that experience I generally find myself happier in life and now don't really care all that much about finding a girlfriend. Overall I'd say LD's can have a huge impact on your life just try and have them and you may find something out about yourself that you need to know.
Dreams are a part of reality, sadly too many people ignore this fact.

Lucid dreaming changed a bunch of my personal beliefs about waking life and other related things, also i gained some confidence generally in other things i do overall as well and i have defeated all strange fears that i had. Before i got into it i looked at the sleep as something that just takes time and i even avoided sleeping at some times, but now i am quite more sleeper and have quite more stable schedule(but still weird one though). Lucid dreaming is awesome!

I didn't have any revelation during a lucid dream. But the act of being able to lucid dream and experience what I believe to be another reality was lifechanging for me. Besides of experiencing 0 gravity, flying without any apparatus, seeing things that literaly took my sleeping body's breath away, I believe, that I peeked at answers of some secrets of the universe, that have been boggling my mind since childhood.

Whether this other reality is true or not, doesn't matter. What matters is that it made me a better person, happier and more satisfied with what I have than ever.

My first WILD had a huge impact on me. I had no idea the human mind could allow me to actually be god of my own universe, and literally in life like quality. I'm so much more curious about consciousness and what happens after we die and stuff now. I'd really like to hear from my sub conscious like many people do but I haven't had that experience yet, hopefully soon.

      Life Changing Experiences Anyone?
      Yes!

I've had one in particular that still sticks with me to this day. I've had this experience about two years ago, I was waking up, or on the verge of waking up. Hadn't opened my eyes yet or anything, everything was still black. And this man's voice starts asking me questions, like who I would forgive, or wouldn't forgive. And everytime I felt that I would forgive them, I would get these intense vibrations. When I felt like I wouldn't forgive someone, the vibrations would fade.

It was interesting, because it made me feel we are here for such a different purpose than just living our normal, everyday lives.

I think experiencing the alternate reality of lucid dreams just in itself is sort of life changing. Like some Iincredible discovery you make.
