I have no words for this incident please read this post

So I had posted a topic about me going in and out of reality a while ago and it has gone away. But a few nights ago I was down stairs with my mom my father was out at work and I was about to go to sleep because I was just bored. I ended up going up to my bedroom and going to bed. I later woke up or I thought I did and heard and saw the T.V on well the reflection of it coming from my living room I thought my dad had just got home after working and I decided well what the hell I am just going to go say hey. I slowly walked down to the stairs and looked over at my brother so and since I saw him sleeping I knew I was awake so I walked down and right when I could see the T.V………. It was pitch dark like no one was home but I could see a figure sitting on down on my couch and he said hey in my father's voice and by then I could I don't really know how to explain it but I could feel him watching me I could feel me breathing I felt that panic sensation you get when you're about to shit yourself then in a flash I woke up to reality and ended up going to school. I was super scared for the rest of the day and did not know what to think of it I tried getting this thought out of my head but know ever since this my dreams are getting more realistic and I control them like it is real

This figure still scares me when I think about it

      Ahh you had a nightmare.
Nightmares are often more realistic than normal dreams because you are more aware and in the moment than usual.
I know that at first it may seem scary and you would much rather just get rid of the whole dream....there is an upside to these nightmares sometimes.

If you can learn to become lucid in the dream (by frequently reality checking for example) then you can take control of the dream and resolve the situation. Not only would you be able to actually enter the lucid dream you could actively figure out what the dream is about or how to end it instead of having to wait for it to happen

Have you ever had a lucid dream before?

To add to what dutchraptor said, to be exact it was a false awakening, dream that starts with you waking up and doing what you would be doing in waking life, they can be confusing sometimes and if you are interested in lucid dreaming, do reality checks each time you wake up.
Also no need to be afraid, nothing in dream can hurt your waking body and if you get lucid you can defeat nightmares easily!

      Yep, listen to them.

Also, if you DO want to stop nightmares and all that, follow lucid dreaming tutorials here.

If you believe in OBEs, fears will limit your experiences. Well if you don't believe in OBEs and see your experiences as just dreams it goes the same way. Fear is the biggest block for most people when it comes to growth. It's by overcoming the fear you turn it into progress.

And even though it might be unpleasant and all you want to is to avoid experiencing the fear, what you actually should do is to realize that it is there for a reason.

And that reason is to help you evolve.

This experience you had might have occured to you because you need to overcome that fear of the unknown in order to later on explore it.
If you believe in OBEs you should know that there is nothing to be afraid of because nothing can't hurt you, well physically harm you becauase you are just consciousness out there. And if you don't believe in OBEs you should still not be afraid because then all you need to think and expect is that dreams are not real and can't hurt you physically, so why be afraid?

The fact that you felt fear in this experience, is just a an oppurtunity to grow. Perhaps the lesson here is to learn that there is nothing to fear.
Although you can not internalise that fact by just reading it. You need to experience it for yourself.

And well if we want to get Freud like - maybe this figure represent something you fear in real life. Perhaps you fear some characteristic of your father, just me guessing.

Anyway my point is, overcome your fears it allways lead to internal change and growth.

A: Multi-layered consciousness is true and there's some hidden fear that must be confronted in some cliché manner.
B: A spirit was trolling you.

      Pick one.
Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week; you have a schedule, a calendar... Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures.
A fear of time running out.

I wouldn't recommend actually doing that in real-dream-life. I've talked to demons before and asked them about what they can do to people wo call them up, and... yeah. I'd recommend keeping your distance from them.
