I haven't had one that I can remember but it's basically a dream that you are awake and are completing your normal morning routine but are actually not(Correct me if I'm wrong). They're a blessing if you do RCs every single morning. But without that RC habit, chances are that you will let it pass by without even realizing. Would I consider them cool? Yea, if you can turn it into a LD. But FAs by themselves? not really. It's just a dream that you are doing you're normal morning routine. Sounds boring to me.

It really depends if you're able to turn that false awakening into a lucid dream. If you can't, then there is a good chance that you will feel frustrated once you wake up (Bad memories! ) ! They can be a key to lucid dreaming, or they can just slap you in the face, it all depends really... All you can do is prepare for that moment, through reality check when you just wake up, and hope on some luck.

But besides that, they are quite boring like LucidSandman said.

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.

It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.

For me usually a false awakening follows a lucid dream. I realize I am dreaming and then I "wake up" into a different dream.

It's not fun waking up and writing in your dream journal and then waking up to see nothing there.

False Awakenings can definitely be frustrating at times, but they are cool as shit if you really look at them. I had a night of heavy partying one time and had the classic alcohol dehydration the following morning. I had a dream where I was drinking out of a water fountain because I felt so thirsty and I drank and drank and drank, but never satisfied my thirst, obviously. I woke up and then went into the kitchen grabbed a glass of water, then woke back up again. Laughed at myself for not realizing I wasn't awake and then the same thing happened again once I grabbed the glass. I started trying to see how many I could have. I looked around the room with each FA and noticed the minor tweaks and differences that gave away that I was dreaming. I had at least 7 or 8 back to back FAs purposely and gained enough experience to recognize them. These days, I use them very often to achieve lucidity. I contribute my ability to catch FAs to this sequence and a few other times that I had FA chains on purpose.

They are pretty cool, and annoying. They're cool if you get to catch them, and sooo annoying when you miss them. Make sure to do a reality check everytime you wake up, no matter where you are. This practice can help catch FA's in the future. Who knows, you may have had them a lot already, and you just never realized or remembered.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

They're either really helpful or really annoying. I've had them where I've woken up, showered, made coffee and walked out the door for work only to wake up for real and have to do it all over again. Other times I've woken up, gone to shower and realized the light doesn't work so bam I'm aware I'm dreaming!
For the most part they're a pain. You aren't missing much

I don't have them much (or many lucid dreams for that matter x_x ) but they can be cool, and of course get you aware. I remember one time where I was constantly waking up in a different season each time, and eventually I decided to flip over my bed and that finally got me lucid. c:

ive had quite a lot of them they are usually annoying and i become lucid and try and force myself awake which sometimes works and sometimes doesnt .Sometimes ita a relief to realise its a false awakening especially if its a nightmare.

I found false awakenings frustrating. I was in a paradox of false awakenings one night which caused me to take a break from LDing

I had a false awakening that I was partially blind and had no balance, I stumbling around the house screaming out for people "I'm blind, I'm blind!" That particular false awakening wasn't very cool at all.

Personally I think they are cool only because they are usually very vivid. I have also found that dreams where something is a little odd, and I realize that, but dont think to RC, are also very vivid. Of course LDs beat them all.
