New to this site, wanting to hear feedback from others. Are there other people who feel at least to some degree as if they are "permanently lucid". Now what i mean by this is exactly as the title suggests, that every time you enter into a REM cycle that you are aware of it. Every night that i fall asleep I am fully aware that i am dreaming, for the most part I let the dream and my subconscious have control (mostly for sanity's sake), however I always maintain control of my body and my thoughts. If a dream takes a turn that I am not pleased with I will consciously change the course of said dream. Besides the times in the sleep cycle where REM is not happening I feel as if I'm getting no rest at all because I am constantly aware at all times. I am curious if there are others out there. Through my early development of my dreaming I might be able to do this. To clarify, as a child i was barraged by night after night of horrid nightmares, (months on end) as many of you know having a nightmare is one of the "easiest" ways to become fully lucid instantly, by the mind's natural survival instinct you feel an urge of "this isn't real, you're dreaming, wake up". Basically because of these never ending nightmares in my early childhood I am now always aware when I enter into a dream state. When i first actually started reading about lucid dreaming I was surprised this wasn't an average thing. Please reply, any feedback and discussion is welcome, I am still trying to fully understand just how deep i can take what i can do.
Thank You,
NightmareRealm
