      Quizz on LDing

Wouldn´t it be fun and pedagogic to make a multiple choice quizz about LDing ?

Just an idea to keep us entertained

Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way

It'd be a good idea what kind of questions would you ask?

Well we could include a broad range of topics, like the history of LDing, theories about dreams in general, consciousness, induction of LDing, future lines of investigation..

Of course we would need also a collaboration from many people, as each of us has some field of experience and expertise

I don´t know about you guys, but when i take a test, i feel like my knowledge has consolidated, and my self-confidence increases

It's an interesting idea but wouldn't it be hard since many people have different experiences with their dreams? For example: Some might say that they can read text in lucid dreams while others say they can't. Some say they can dream spin to another location and others say spinning doesn't do anything

^^ I think as long as the quiz focused on facts (i.e., what is the sleep cycle? what WILD, DILD and MILD stand for?), history (i.e., who was LaBerge's co-author on EWOLD?), or common techniques (i.e., when is WBTB used?), there shouldn't be too much confusion or disagreement.

This does seem like a fun idea, VagalTone!

Ok guys, so let's begin ?

Well, i volunteer myself for making some questions about the history of LDing ( a very consensual topic perhaps ).

i will study the topic, and make a list of questions. Then i will post them on this thread for discussion, providing also the proper ( ? ) bibliographic references

Likewise, if anyone would like to pick up some topic feel free to do so and announce on this thread. I think it´s possible to have many people working on the same topic, since we will then review all the questions and avoid any unnecessary repetitions.
Edit: no need to choose a topic, we will accept random questions too.

I think we can sort questions according to their topic and difficulty. Then we can compile and mix it.

The important thing is that this quizz should be a collaboration between a large number of people, allowing enough topics to be included, different perspectives and idiosyncrasies.

I don´t want to suggest any deadlines. This should be for fun and for helping us learn something more.

So, waiting your suggestions and volunteer requests

edit: after Sageous suggestion, i think we can make less strict participation rules. So we would be happy to receive any question to include in the quizz. You don't need to choose a specific topic. Just answer to this thread. I will compile them on OP with permition from staff.

I don't know if they'll subscribe to a spefic topic, but I'll see if I can come up with a couple of questions about the popular transitions (WIlD/DEILD and DEILD), and maybe some mildly tougher stuff for the advanced/philosophical crowd.

But God only knows when I'll get to it, so be patient!

Much of the fun lies on making the quizz, so if you are still passionate about LDing and continue to study the subject it's not a great deal, just jot down a few interesting things

We need collaborators !! I will take Sageous advice and just ask you to submit random questions ( if possible with some references, links and so on )

Just to call atention to you guys that you can submit any question to include in the quizz, with or without possible answers.

Don't need to choose a specific topic, any random topic is good. I will review, compile them and update on the OP.

So, it's as easy as a question

      Example: Sageous's question " Who was LaBerge's co-author on EWOLD ?

Very nice Sageous ! Yeah, this project is very alive on my mind, but the thread has been very quiet indeed.
I encourage more people to follow your example, and put one or more questions. The quizz can grow drop by drop...
I am currently reading " all about dreams" by Gayle Delaney and i hope to find some interesting questions about dreams in general to post here.

PS: yes, i would check the answer sheet sometimes but i am not that lazy
