The Super Thread For Bad Schema (open at your own risk)

So I was talking with Canislucidis the other day about "going into the void" and about how I had never had anything like that until reading his DJ and hearing his podcasts, and I was telling him that he was "plaguing my mind with things like this". I then realized, that even though it was a bad thing, it helped me through a few things and gave me a better way to WILD transition, and a few ways to teleport. It is kind of like how in life, if you go through a bunch of bad stuff it "builds character" if you make it through the other side. So here is the Super Thread For Bad Schema! It can be either something that has happened in a dream, something that you worry might happen in a dream, or something that you think would be hilarious if it happened in a dream.

      Rules of thread:
      1) Post only 1 schema per post.
It is nice to know that people are enjoying your specific idea, and not just liking 1/5 or 1/10.
      2) Put spoiler tags around anything grotesque or sexual
We don't all want to hear nasty things all the time, and there is forum rules about posting sexual stuff, just make sure to keep it somewhat decent.
      3) You do not need to post a schema to post
It is fine if we get side tracked and have a convo, I am all about fun.
      4) no double posting
      Forum rule
      5) start from the previous number
It will be easier to talk about it if we only have 1 number per schema!

I am going to go ahead and break the first rule since this is the OP and I want to make sure that you guys know what type of things to post here.

      1) When you realize it is a dream, DCs get mad and start trying to attack you.

      2)
      Spoiler for Sexual:

      3)
Spoiler for Not too grotesque, but enough:

      4) After you get to a certain point in your lucid walk, you might run into a "Dream Guide", but you might run into a "dream demon". This person will steal your dream powers and make it harder to get lucid.
      Spoiler for Image:

Hope yall enjoy this thread. Let us all get stronger and kill our demons early so that we can kill these bad schemas. I don't think that we need to explain how to get past these bad schema, because creativity is the area that will help you the most in your Lucid Walkventure.

      6. You know, your video kind of reminds me of something that happened to me, or is rather similar.
I became lucid in the middle of a very busy urban city, and just kind of walked around in the mass of people.
I thought to myself, "You know, i've never really felt pain in a dream..."
Apparently, every single person in the city was carrying a very sharp dagger on them...
And that, children, is how I discovered pain in dreams.

8)When doing any form of dream control that breaks the way that things work in the universe, it can wake you up from the dream.
For example: You are in soul society and you do a kamehameha wave. OR you are in Konaha and you go Bankai.

      @5 and Fennecgirl.
My wife has gotten lucid about 10 times in the last couple years through me talking to her about it, and stabilization was not a problem for her in supposedly her most "beginner dreams". I think that we tell people about stability when it shouldn't even be mentioned unless it is a problem in the first place.

      @6 Dez
Yeah, some people feel pain in dreams, and others don't this one definitely depend on schema and things associated with it. I have always felt pain in dreams and found it weird when people first started telling me that they didn't feel pain. I have now felt pain and not felt pain during painful things (like jumping in front of cars, off of trains and other things.

      @7 Dez
haha, funny story about SP. I first went into SP and I heard a deep voice and felt someone shoving me down the voice said "This is a dream and I am gonna rape you!" I tried to wake myself up and just ended up breaking SP. I started laughing because of how ridiculous it was and haven't been worried about SP since.

Here's a classic one (first one I ever encountered):

      10. It is impossible to read things in dreams.

The classic things like reading and turning on lights are not a problem for me. I have read letters, numbers, and even whole paragraphs in dreams. When I heard that lights are a good reality check I decided to give it a try. But the next time I went to sleep I thought "This might be a dream" and I found a light switch. I flipped it and looked up and watched a light come on. I couldn't see the bulb, I just saw the ceiling get brighter, but it was realistic enough that I started laughing with my DCs about how silly it was that I thought I might be dreaming. I was very upset when I woke up.

This leads me to bad schema # 11.) When reality checks fail!!!

Haha, this reminds me of a time when I tried to switch on the lights in my dream and it wouldn't work. I kept flicking the switch but it wouldn't work, until eventually a DC got fed up with it and said "just switch on the damn lights!" and Voilà! The lights went on by itself. =)

I watched the video in the OP and at nightime I become lucid, when all DCs started to attack me. It have no control over them even I was fully lucid. I spend my entire LD by throwing them away using my telekinesis. THANKS A LOT Sensei!

If you kill a dc then dc police will arrest you and put you in lucid prison. There was magic dc spells that stopped your dc lucid powers, so you'd wait bored until you woke up.

Most regular issues aren't problems for me either. The reading I can't exactly comment on though, but when it comes to reading clocks it really just depends on if they feel like being the same or not, or whether they even display numbers.

13..I think?) Sometimes, potentially at the WORST possible moments, you can lose all speed and strength for seemingly no reason. If something bad is chasing you there's always the chance this could happen without warning. Try as you might, you suddenly can't swim or run or do anything in fast motion...it's like hitting a wall of air resistance.

I find that sometimes this same principle can affect breathing or sound too, where I'm applying maximum effort but only achieving minimal results.

(Must they be numbered? So many rules! >_<)

We did 10... then jumped to 13 apparently. I'll do 11,12, and 14.

*Manei is my persistent dream guide.

11.) (Something Bad) Manei leaves permanently, becomes evil/corrupted or dies in my dream.

12.) (Something Funny) Me and Manei swap genders. (She becomes a boy, and I become a girl.) Bonus points for doing sexy things while in this state.

14.) (Something Funny) Manifest all of the most hilarious dream characters I have encountered. (The Bread Train Engine, The Electrical Floating Baby Head, The Purple witch lady with a bird beak, The talking anteater-elephant, and Professor Penguinstein) and see how they interact with one another.

Schema #11 is in the last sentence of post #8, and Schema #12 I thought was post #11.

This is exactly why numbering is annoying to begin with. It would work if everyone read thoroughly before replying, but when a thread gets a few pages deep a lot of people don't even bother.

I say forget numbering, if you wanna reference it then quote it, lol.

This bad schema happened to me last night and happens often. Knowing it's a dream but not really reaching lucidity. Like, having a single thought or feeling of it being a dream but not realizing that you should hold on to that idea to become lucid so you have control. Last night someone was trying to kill me and so I hid and willed him to not find me and go away. It worked for a little bit until I doubted my control and he came back. Ugh, if only I had reached full lucidity! Level one (ish) lucidity sucks!

Also, in another dream last night I gained a perfect example of how I can read in dreams! I was making a list of things I needed for a boat and I wrote down sea turtles. Then I was told we got land turtles by a mean lady and they died so I looked back at the list and marked through sea turtles. The words were very clear and were the same both times I looked at them! I have gained the ability to control certain aspects of non-lucid dreams like lights, text, and my own fear of recurring monsters because I have had so many nightmares about these things that I have willed myself to control them. It's like having a sub Level One lucidity. It's just a feeling of control. Now I don't even have to think about it, unless it's monster/fear based and then it turns into something closer to Level One Lucidity.

But dream tidal waves are so awesome! I once had one strike near where I live in a dream (Kansas). It made no sense, but was epic!

I propose that the overarching schema being discussed here is a heavy-hitter:

The idea that the dream is very much an expectation-guided process, and whatever you immediately think might happen next in that moment, conscious or not...even if it's the last thing you want to happen, rest assured it will happen.

The dream compells us to be unafraid, in that sense.
If you suspect some bad on the horizon, best be prepared for it because it's now coming your way.
