As FryingMan said, lucid dreaming is a lifestyle and really takes some dedication to see consistent results. Build a strong base though, and you will be grateful. You need to put the horse before the wagon and improve your dream recall, awareness, program your mind to be familiar with lucid dreaming, and learn how to confirm you are in a dream.

I wish remembering 1 dream a night was all I needed for lucid dreaming. I remember 3-8 dreams a night on average and lucidity still eludes me.
