I find it interesting how you state your guide was walking around as if he were the boss of everything in the dream, handing out paperwork to other DCs, and even telling you, the dreamer, what you should and shouldn't do. (Don't step on the yellow laser grid) If you can, I want you to try and learn more about why this is the way it is.
It's good that your guide manifested when you asked him to. The fact that he is somewhat responsive to you and will regard what you say is always a good sign.
I don't know exactly what to say about the 'shadow' dream guide though. This might be your dream nemesis. I've observed this with quite a few lucid dreamers having one of these including my college roommate. But why does he bear such resemblance to your dream guide? Why does your dream guide look the way he does? What is his appearance and behavior supposed to represent for you?
I think that (if you feel comfortable) you should start practicing lucid dreaming again and learn more about this. The best person to answer your questions and learn more about this is you.
