I'm sure more accomplished lucid dreamers have done this many times, but my lucids are usually so short I struggle to achieve goals. |

Seing myself in a mirror was something that triggered my first lucid dream ever. It was somewhat scary, btw - very strange creature. It became my habit to look in the mirror in LDs, and now it happens almost every time, even unintentionally. Even if there is no mirror, there happens to show up a surface that unexpectedly reflects my image in a scary but funny way. |

Hi Goldenspark! That's cool that you saw your reflection in the dream. I have seen it a few times. Last night I had 4 eyes. Another time I had only one nostril. |

Here is what I am up to in the dream world!

I don't really like mirrors IWL, so I was avoiding them in my lucids as well. But then there was a lucid task of the month and I thought what a better time to conquer my fears. I found a mirror and I looked. And since then I look at every opportunity. It's always a surprise what I see, but most of the time it's recognizably me, sometimes a little different looking me. Few times I even went through the mirror. |

Thanks Gab - positive schema as always |

I have looked into a mirror once while lucid. It also looked like me, but was stretched out like a funhouse mirror. I kept trying to move my head to get a better view, but it just stretched and squashed every time I moved. was only lucid for about 30 seconds (of course who knows what dream seconds translate to in real time haha) |

i've looked into mirrors a few times. They can be quite 'insightful' |

During the day I have been looking for odd places to see my reflection ......curved surfaces like chromed faucets and windshields. I stop and study my features while I move a little. That, of course, begs the obvious question....which I am better able to ask with sincerity if my face is distorting crazily. |

About a month ago I had one of my infrequent lucids without using supps where I purposely went to look at myself in the mirror. I looked quite different than I do in real life but I knew it was me. As I stared at my image, my face quickly cycled through a number of others faces, ending in the face of my deceased father. It looked so realistic that it shook me up and I felt like I was quickly being pulled back into my bed where I instantly woke up. Gotta say that I enjoyed the experience though. |

I will say congrats to you because one of the bravest things one can do while lucid is to purposefully look into a mirror. Lucid looking into a mirror is like a box of chocolates... you never know what you're going to get. Does that even make sense? I'm not sure. Oh well. It's late. Congrats on this lucid dream and the gazillions more to come. |
