Hey Xaq, thanks for the mnemonic! I'm still struggling to remember the colors of all the chakras. But it helps to remember it's like a prism or a rainbow... red, orange, yellow, green, blue purple. If you know color theory it makes perfect sense - each color flows from the last one. I'm not sure of the color for the crown one though.
I noticed after doing this last night that when I went to bed I had something like a sustained adrenaline rush in my heart.. not a bad or scary feeling, but pretty intense.
Jorge, try not to look at it as weird spiritual stuff, but think of it like this...
It comes from ancient tradition in the far east, where they've always had an emphasis in quiet internal contemplation as opposed to western tradition which has an emphasis on the exterior. They understand that if you concentrate your attention quietly on some part of your body you can affect it physically. There are advanced yogis who can literally stop themselves from bleeding through fresh cuts just by focusing their mind on the area.
