Was the alarm clock for your WBTB? I find the confusion thing pretty common, and if you do end up not going back to sleep you pretty often forget your dreams anyway because of the shock of waking. It may be beneficial for you to try WBTBs without alarms, there are plenty of other methods you can do such as mantras and even just drinking a load of water before bed. |

Good job on the waking up at 5am the natural way! Definitely keep at it, and your recall will improve. Otherwise maybe aim for a slightly later time to wake up. |

The key thing to remember with anything related to dreaming is consistency, keep at it and don't lose motivation because then you'll just be taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Remind yourself than any small step is progress toward your goal, and that soon enough you will have taken enough steps to reach it |
