Was this a lucid dream? :O

      Hi all!

I have been trying to get lucid dreams in a while now, but i am just focused on get to know my dream sign ATM. It is a thing that have been bugging me today. You see i got a very strange dream. In the dream, i realized that it was a dream, but i am not sure if it was ME who controlled the dream. I will write the things that i remember of the dream here, to show you what i mean.

It starts with me who walks trough my door out to the playground outside my house, and my friend asks me what time it is( i use the clock technique as RC) and i see my clock are spinning around. Then i realize that my hand got much bigger. So i realize that it is a dream. then all of the sudden my friend dissapears, and i goes to 3rd person view of myself. I got happy and a bit of adrenalin, so my dream gets unstable. So i walk like i was drunk :O. I do more RC's to make it stable, and it works. Then i do a series of things that i don't remember. after a while i starts to fly, and i can feel the wind blows, and it feels so real. Then i wake's up.

The strange thing is that i don't remember if it was me controling my dream, or if was my brain who "pranked" me. So my first question is: Do u think that i was lucid?
Second: Has this happend to you?

      PS: sorry for bad english

Yes, this absolutely was a lucid dream. The only requirement for a dream to be considered a lucid is, knowing you are dreaming (within the dream itself). You clearly did this. Remember, you can have control and not be lucid, as well as being lucid without control. Congrats on achieving lucidity and nice job stabilizing the dream once it became unstable. Impressive! Good luck to you in your future efforts and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

It may be that the term "Lucid Dream" gets people confused into believing that a dream could ever be lucid. That is not what is meant. It means that you were lucid in a dream. Therefore asking someone else if you are or are not, have or have not been lucid, is rather strange.

Happens to me a lot, like sometimes ill be doing something in a dream then ill think something is going to happen (usually bad) like "oh shit a tank is going to come over that hill" and a tank will actually come over the hill.
So it's like sub-consciously controlling the dream but not realising your dreaming instead just sort of thinking your gut instinct was right. something along the lines of that.

Ah, well I have had many dreams where I have displayed control, but wasn't lucid. You probably have had a few as well. For example, I have had a dream where I walked around using telepathy to control DCs and got them to submit to my will. I didn't know I was dreaming, I just thought I was a Jedi . I have also had a dream where I was walking around a high school football game with a ps2 controller in hand. I started controlling random DCs to obey my command. I thought it was just a magic controller. I also have had several dreams where I was spawning enemies and creating environments around me. I thought I was just creating a video game, even though I was literally making my dream environment and everything around me a video game. There are many, many instances of dream control without being lucid. I'm sure if you think back, you can remember a few as well.
