Hey guys! I am fairly new to lucid dreaming and have a few questions. Although I have known about Lucid Dreaming for quite some time and given attempts here and there, I have no experience a lucid dream. Still working on it |

Hi Rapterbone, welcome to Dreamviews. Merry belated Christmas to you! I hope you had a great holiday. Honestly, the possibilities of lucid dreaming are endless. Do whatever you like, increase a skill, create music, use dreams as a creative spark. It is all up to you. What do you want to do? What sounds fun to you? You can do anything! |
For first couple of dreams, I would recommend just learning to stabilize to make the dream longer. Then I would just walk around and take in the sights, maybe talk to some dream caracters. You would be amazed, how exciting are even simplest things in LD. Make a list of things, you would like to do. That way when in LD, you will remember them better. |
Since the good people above already helped about doubts, I will try to give you some "encouragement" by telling you possible interesting things you might want to lucid dream. Remember that lucid dreaming is not something that ends like a game or a book. It's a lifetime of a 2nd reality, meaning you will never run out of things to do! |
I am recent to lucid dreams. Ive been aware 13 times but only stabilized 3 times such that I could actually do anything before awakening. But let me say that it is so awesome an experience that just having a lucid dream is such an event that you will be satisfied for quite awhile just having one! Never mind about what should I do. Its like seeing the grand canyon.... You dont immediately worry about what should I do here, as just simply seeing it will strike you with awe. |
Hey Guys! This is all really helpful, and thank you for your words of encouragement! I took a particular interest in lucid dreaming for the creative side (I am a musician and have been experiencing creative blocks). However, the new possibilities I have read about really have opened a completely new side and view on lucid dreaming. A few more questions |
Practice. You may not get it at first but you eventually will! I had the same problem as you until one night it just "happened". |

Do you prefer DILDS or WILDS and why? Also do you recommend WBTB or just trying as you go to sleep? |
I just happen to DILD so those are kind of "free" lucids. If you try to WILD you really should to a WBTB because if you don't it will take over an hour and even if you do manage to get into the dream in will be almost impossible to stabilize. If you combine it with WBTB then you could enter a dream in 15 minutes or less! |

Welcome to DV. To answer your first question, anything is possible, so you really don't need to ask anyone what you should do/attempt, anything you can think of is doable with the right ammount of patience, practice and confidence. For your last question, I prefer WILD'ing to DILD's because WILD's just feel a lot more vivid and clear. I have not really noticed a difference in the ammount of dream control I have in either, so thats not really a factor (for me at least). The only downside to WILD's is the difficulty, as many struggle with the technique only to later find out that they are doing it wrong, and that everyone is different = differnent techniques work better for different people. Many of my WILD's are by luck or intention, and I would definetly reccomend you combine them with WBTB, cuz I've only had one WILD without WBTB, and it was kind of a DEILD. |

Can you guys tell me the biggest factors that helped you break the learning curves of WILDS? What mindset should I have and what should I think about? |
You should just be focusing on going to sleep when attempting a WILD. Try not to think about anything. Let your thoughts drift in front of your minds eye. |

The problem is, if I just let my thoughts wander, I just fall asleep instead of wilding? Can you give me a like step by step of what you do? |
There really is no "step by step" because everyones different. Hell, almost all my WILDs are different but this is what I do anyway. |

What exactly does a "pain anchor" do? Wouldn't that prevent you from sleeping? |

Ive only eve had one WILD and im not at all experienced but what I do to keep aware without thinking to much is watch the Hypnagogia in the back of your eyelids. watch but don't interact with them. Any help? (: |
I can't really help you with WILD, but if you wanna have a DILD it boosts your chances tremendously to have it on your mind at all times! |

Naah, it's not really the most amazing thing you can do in a LD. x'D |
