      My Introduction!

Hi everyone! My name is Kayla. I'm so excited to have found this website. I'm here to learn and hopefully make some friends with similar interests and have good conversation about lucid dreaming.

Where I'm at with lucid dreaming: I've created a dream journal that I've been keeping track of for a few weeks...So far my dream recall has vastly improved. The other night I was actually aware that I was dreaming, but it was a fleeting thought! It was like I was only aware for a moment and then went back to regular dreaming.

Hopefully this will improve! If anyone would like to chat/share experiences or give some helpful tips please message me!

      Thanks

      Welcome to the forum!

We love to hear about dreams and experiences. If you ever want to post that dream in our online dream journal system people would read it.

We have a section of the forum called Attaining Lucidity that helps people "get there" for lack of a better term. I think you might find it useful.

Inside that section of the forum is a subsection called Induction Techniques. It's filled with useful advice and methodology from people who have tried and succeeded in gaining lucidity and want to teach others their chosen method.

Our WIKI has some great tutorials also. I suggest reading the Dream Induction Techniques list as it details the basic methods and links you to their individual tutorials. With this you can make an informed choice about a method that suits your sleep schedule and habits.

If you have any questions the staff, like me, are here to help. We can even point you in the right direction for info and techniques. You can send any of us a private message by clicking on our profile name.

I look forward to seeing you around the forum!

      Pleasant dreams!

So, if this was your first one, congratulations to you first lucid dream! Even if it was just for a second. First ones are often really short, mostly because for the excitement and surprise.

With more of them you will learn to keep your excitement down (not easy thing to do) and some stabilization techniques, that will help you stay in your lucids for longer. Happy dreams

Thank you! It just confused me that I was aware for a moment and then just totally became unaware again and back into regular dreaming. I'll definitely have to check out some stabilization techniques!
