Hi everybody, I was born in 96 (20), I am a fairly young lucid dreamer. I am a female beginner, I have only had one lucid dream when I was a teenager and about 2 days ago had my first after practicing MILD. I really want to make lucid Dreaming a rewarding experience in my life so I joined this forum to be able to discuss my dreams, my progress with lucid dreaming, and just have somewhere to talk to about this amazing skill I hope to develop over the years. Thanks for reading, hope to make some "dream friends".

I can feel your enthusiasm from your post, and it reminds me of my beginnings. It's an awesome feeling to be in a lucid dream, and it makes your whole day better.

We would be happy to help you get more of them. Read up on the forum and ask us if you have any questions. Participating by replying and posting your own experiences and questions is a great way to motivate yourself and your subconscious.

Creating a dream journal and posting your dreams in there is another way of letting your mind know, that you love dreaming and you want more of it. You can start one here on DV.

Thank you gab! The forum has definitely helped, I have lucid dreamt the past two mornings, I think my subconscious definitely got the message, now the challenge is developing my dream control skills. My lucid dreams are so simple and boring, but I'm still super happy to have them. I could compare my position right this moment with a painter that finally got the supplies together to start his first painting but does not know how to paint! 😂 Hopefully you guys can help. Also what is the protocol for non-PG dreams, or should I just skip over those parts? I feel that my codes are kind of obvious and I don't want to come off as vulgar, but so far that's the only interesting thing that has happened in my lucid dreams.

Non-PG dreams can be posted in your Dream journal. For the xxx parts you can use the spoiler with a warning to those that wonder to your DJ unsuspectingly. Haha. Still, it's up to you, how much of the xxx you put in there. You can always stay vague, and keep those parts for your personal word DJ.

Once you realize, that it is your dream and it will behave the way you want, dream control should be easy. Sometimes I have a same problem. Most of my dreams are boring and mimic waking life. Family, work... bleh.

You can try changing the dreamscape. I'm sure you will find your own method to do this. But for now, you can try teleporting somewhere else.

1. You can do it by turning in one spot, like an ice skater. When you stop, you should be in new location.

2. Try opening a door and expect some new place to be there.

3. Find a poster on a wall with some other place and step into this. (Once I stepped into a postcard on the rack and found myself on some city square in Egypt, near the pyramids.)

4. Try to look into distance, see that other place then pull yourself there. I call this "binocular" vision. Or stretch your upper body to reach this new place, then pull rest of you there.

5. Phase through a wall. Normally there is a new location behind it.
