      Reclaiming my Lucid Life

      Hello. I am a dreamer. Always have been. Probably always will be. I've been an intermittent lucid dreamer for most of my life. About a decade ago I began intentionally lucid dreaming and loved it while I had the people to dream with me. But alas, the real world sank its heartless claws into us and soon it was just me lucid dreaming alone. So I kind of lost interest because I had no one to inspire or challenge me anymore.

      Very recently I decided that I want to reclaim my lucid life. Since stating this intention out loud I have have three short lucid dreams in the past week. I take this as a very good sign. I found dream Views and decided to join with the hopes that people here may inspire and challenge me to live lucidly once again. And if not, I'll trudge on alone. The time may have come for me to stop relying on other people to inspire and challenge me, but for now I'll try to find like minded dreamers with which to adventure.

      Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to hearing your experiences and seeing your progress, especially since I am in much of the same boat (used to be great at lucid dreaming, and then graduating college and getting a full-time job destroyed my chances).

      The periodic competitions are fun. You might want to try the DILD or WILD classes where you note your progress and get feedback from more advanced dreamers. I found that helpful. Welcome to the group!

      I’m here for a similar reason. My lucid dreams are not as often as they could be.

      I do have one piece of advice.
      Make a plan.
      I wrote down every step I was going to do to increase my lucidity, and within a week I was back to having LD’s.

      Hello and thank you for the welcome. I do plan on joining some competitions but only after I have worked on dreaming and journaling alone for a month. I needed to test my will and stamina. At the one month mark I plan on hopping into a competition, get more feedback, as well as reward myself with an avatar.

      Hello and thanks for the welcome. I have a plan in mind but have not written it down. That is good advice and makes a lot of sense. I will get right on that tonight, and hang it near to where I sleep to read before I retire for the night. THanks again.
