Just caught a subliminal in an ad

In the most recent TV ad for GoTo meeting, the loser guy has a PC, and the other guy who uses GoTo meeting has a mac.

Anyone else like to look for those sometimes?

Before photos have people without smiles (and sometimes in black and white). After photos have much hue and the people are smiling. (but everyone knows this as the norm for fitness/supplement/etc ads)

That's just a technique, not a subliminal ad. Subliminal ads are like what Supernova was talking about, an advertisement for another product hidden inside another ad

Another example of a subliminal message would be like ApertureScience (very old link now, shows christmas video from long ago) where if you take the test, you'll notice certain letters flashing, which spell out, "The cake is a lie"

That's an easteregg. Subliminal messages are stuff that your mind catches onto subconsciously. Like the guy with GoTo (better than the other guy) uses a Mac.

Bullshit. It's still a subliminal message lol. Most people don't pick up on the fact that one photo is complete shit quality and everything and they look sad, whereas the other is the opposite.
Not picking up on it consciously is the definition of subliminal messaging.

@Supernova Well, Unix systems are pretty nice, in my experience....

I always understood subliminal messages to be very unnoticeable by the regular viewer's conscious, as subliminal denotes speaking to your subconscious - you don't even know what's going on, yet it's still happening. Therefore ooflendoodle has the closest example to my understanding out of this entire thread.
