Thread: Rant and Rave, Cry and Complain

I'm going to have to agree with sinoblak on this one. This thread is still being used the way it was meant to, and I've been part of a lot of these recent conversations and there are plenty of rants, raves, cries, and complaints, and I try to sneak in as many of my own as possible while responding to others', and the conversations really don't go on for THAT long before switching to a different one.

My university is really weird. I thought they would be obsessed with getting our money. They set the deadline to pay our tuition that's 5 days AFTER they come off their little break (all you do is just sit there and play SOLITAIRE!!). This means I have to wait until January 6 to make sure that these money-grabbing idiots process my payment. And like with everyone after New Years, they're going to do things at the LAST minute, which means delays in who paid for what. Nobody cares about a student's well-being, they just want your money, but they still slack off on doing that too.

Can't even get out of this system, it's a necessary evil...I hate it.

Lol nobody's talking about shutting anything down! Just moving things to the right place. This thread was created for a specific purpose - for people to vent their anger or their happiness - it's supposed to be for extreme emotional posts and to comfort or sympathize with people. There's an entire message board here with sections for everything - long rambling conversations have their place by not on this thread.

Part of my job as a moderator is to make sure threads stay on topic - example I recently split off a similar rambling conversation from the Hawt Sexy Females thread and gave it its own topic where it's thriving now and not annoying people who go to that thread to see pictures. The new group who's using this thread for socializing did recently create a separate thread for gifs pics and videos, and that reduced the clutter in here quite a bit, but now we still have a lot of irrelevant discussion. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that kind of discussion - it just doesn't belong on this thread. You don't go to a news channel to watch movies, and you don't go to the rant rave cry complain thread for lengthy rambling discussions. When people are making 10 or 12 posts a day on this thread you know something isn't right - this is somebody who either is having a hell of a lot of problems or they're misusing the thread.

Somebody ought to start a new thread for this conversation. That's all I'm sayin'.

I'm a bit curious though - if you really didn't like the thread the way it was, why did you start posting here? People need a place to post their strong emotional rants, and it shouldn't be diluted with a lot of ordinary non-emotional talk. There's no reason to change the nature of this thread. If somebody wants a kinder gentler thread there are many of them all over this message board. This thread has been here a long time and it's a tradition around here. Rather than change it to a discussion thread and have to change the name of it and create a new thread for rants and raves etc, why not instead start a new rambling discussion thread and keep this one for what it's always been for? Make sense?

I love everyone here too much to cause conflict...here's a new thread. I apologize for the sporadic rambling. Hopefully this new thread below will keep things going if anyone doesn't feel like using the IRC or just want to converse with other Dreamview members.

The last thing I want to do in this forum is to annoy people, so hopefully this works out.

Well, my back hurts and I feel a headache coming on. And my voice doesn't go high enough (while still sounding good, at least) to sing Arms of an Angel in the original key. But... I do have a Gir jacket, so that kind of makes up for it.

My back hurts and I have a headache too!! In my case it's because two days ago my niece dragged me to the St. Louis City Museum, which is an amazing place built mostly from junk and discarded pieces of destroyed buildings all cobbled together (mostly welded) into this incredible sort of junk palace that's a huge playground with tunnels ladders and slides everywhere. It was immensely crowded and as soon as she saw this tunnel that went straight down into the ground just big enough for kids to crawl through she insisted that I go through it with her. I was all like "You're not really serious, are you?" - but she was!! She honestly thought that at my age and with my bad back I was going to crawl through tunnels she could barely fit through And the worst part is - I did it! It's that guy thing you know - "Oh hell, screw it. I can do this!"

.. Before I even got all the way through that first tunnel I knew my back was going to go out on me in the next day or two. But the damage was done by then, so I climbed through a few more and went down 3 and 4 story slides and generally acted like a kid again.As I told her afterwards, my spirit was soaring, but my body was just sore. And now I'm really paying for it...

Time for more Ibuprofen..

Bah! Bought a Blu-ray drive for my Computer, and of-course it;s a goddamn puzzle to take apart. So screw it, Imma rig it on the outside for now. Lol. Gotta find a foot long SATA cable though.

Saw someone complaining about why a forum wasn't banned in Singapore. Out of curiosity, I searched it and saw indecent images. Was reading the threads and got more interested, especially since all the images can't be viewed if you aren't logged in. And I went searching for porn, most didn't appeal to me though but I was too persistent on finding a good one. Now my brain's filled with images that disgust me.

Why so much emphasis on an arbitrarily-chosen point in our revolution around the sun as "a time of change and better things" ... ? Excuse to drink, I guess! I'm home alone on New Year's, but I don't seem to care.

I'm concerned about that; that I don't care about this arbitrary day. Probably because all of my friends are out doing things and I wasn't asked by anyone to join them in their festivities... Oh well.

I did the same a while ago and had the same reaction. So few appealed to me that I rarely have the desire to look up porn again. Even when I find something I do like, I'll have to have tried other terrible videos and searched through websites which have disgusting images on the side.

While I was out biking, I was stopped at a curb near this building, waiting for this car to cross the street, but it just sat there and I saw a bright blinking blue light next to the driver's window. I assume it was an undercover cop car snapping pictures of me, which disturbed me and really fucking pissed me off. I didn't do anything wrong, and yet he's invading my privacy like that. And he just kept flashing and clicking away, so I came up around and crossed my bike on the walkway legally. The whole thing was just creepy. I've had a cop take my picture before, once when I was 10 years old just riding my bike up the sidewalk, minding my own business. WTF??

lol stupid hammered right no. But as I found out tonight. It sucks a lot when you are around a girl you love, and you don't talk to her, or anything :/

Now go, go and watch all the filthy smut that you two horndogs crave. Try using www.bing.com's video search for all your pornographic needs, it lets you preview videos in the thumbnail without having to actually start up a video and you can watch most videos on Bing without having to go to some other ad-infested site.

I've clearly been disgusted enough. I would not watch porn for another idk, 6 months? But I think I got curious, never knew how sex works... Now I know, in a bad way. I'd rather watch normal shows that slowly bring you to the climax.

So I was a filthy Carrot and decided to sleep on the sofa without bathing even after being out for the whole day, plus it was 8am at that time when I've finally decided to sleep. A distant aunty came to visit few hours after I've slept and my grandmother was telling her I've been up for the whole night and she asked why. I was thinking in my head, "Can't let anyone know that I've been watching porn for the whole night..."

I pretend to be asleep as I hear the whole conversation; didn't want to land myself in an awkward situation if I wake up and she asked me what I've been doing the previous night.

Fuck 2012 too.

I'm guessing I feel pretty normal now. I was irritated by the smell of cigarettes again and just a few days ago I almost had thoughts of smoking. I've hated cigarette's smell all my life, there must be a screw loose in my head to think of actually smoking.
