I am currently unemployed. I was an editor.

My son needs "alone time" even if he is just playing video games. I just never had one of those moments with him before.

Oh gosh, definitely don't take this to heart. I absolutely adore my parents and love them to death but sometimes I just need to be alone even when 'alone time' consists of me being in my room browsing the internet all day and not coming out for anything.

Why would I take that to heart? Everyone needs alone time.

After 3,691 miles in the car with my kids in the last ten days I need some alone time. So glad they have school during the day.

I've been in a relationship with the same guy for a year and I would never give up time with my friends that I already have plans with for new ones with him. Why? Because him and i have all the time in the world together to make up for those lost moments. I mean yeah getting laid is fun (lol) but that isn't what I base having fun off of.

My kitchen is now sparkling clean, and it's my room next!

Only problem is that I feel just about ready to pass out... I guess I should turn up the volume knob. For some reason, System of a Dawn is perfect music for cleaning.

There. Now my room is pretty clean as well. Unfortunately my room mate's evil twin has stolen my vacuum cleaner, so I can't clean the furniture. But I am very much ready for bed by now anyhow.

No big rants here. I've just been extra fatigued. I guess that's bound to happen when you starve yourself But my stomach is shrinking and that's what I'm aiming for. Once it shrinks, I can start eating more regularly. I broke down and got Wendy's earlier this evening. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and fries. I finished neither
In other news... I did manage to wash 5 loads of clothes. The weather was perfect for it today.
I have an MDT for my youngest son tomorrow morning at 9AM. It will last about 15-30 minutes. I'd like to say I'll get some more laundry done, but I probably wont sleep tonight so I'll probably crash afterward. I'm terrified of oversleeping. It's easier for me to stay awake all night than it is to wake up early... though I've been waking up pretty early all on my own here of late. Just about all week, I've woken up at 8-9AM. Of course, I go back to sleep a couple hours later, but I'm still amazed I wake up at all lol.

Zhaylin, dont you need to lay off the fast food now?

It's probably not doing your insides any favors.

Nah. I tried too but I failed terribly. My friend's programming for me, and I make character sprites and their animation, game mechanics, level design, QA, lots of shit that can't be seen with the naked eye.

I have another artist in my group too. My programmer friend isn't in my group though, he's just "helping" me, which explains why I got a D+ when the lecturers found out...

My parents don't understand this concept. My mom think something's wrong with me if I'm in my room by myself for more than a few minutes.

BUT... my fast food consumption is down to a couple times a week if that- for a while it was almost a daily occurrence.

I went to the MDT which went well enough. I told on my son for his plans of selling drugs if he can find no other job. He told me to "Be quiet, Woman" lol
He's skipping school. He's gotten so much worse one his "own". All he can think about is getting $50,000 so he can get surgery to become a woman. How does he come up with his figures? I swear that boy has more than a few screws loose somewhere.
MDT is thinking about sending him to Job Corps. I worry that he's not going to commit to anything until he can get his surgery.
One thing was said though that ticks me off. The powers that be want to condemn my hubby all the time and say my kids have pretty much fended for themselves their entire lives. No, he's never been any kind of a father. He readily admits to that one. But he has provided. We've always had transportation, food and housing. Why demonize my hubby? Yes, my kids deserve/d better. But they weren't "fending for themselves" as if street kids or something

Then I went to Speedway for a soda. The car right next to me had Bibles on the dash. I didn't recognize the car or the passenger though. He was a black guy but dressed in a suit and tie. He HAD to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses. So when I got out, I inched toward the front, hoping to see the Bibles better, but then I saw the driver. It was Pete from the Kingdom Hall. Then I waved at him all happy and enthusiastic What's worse is that he happily and enthusiastically waved back
I'm disfellowshipped lol. We can be polite to one another and help each other if in a jam or somesuch (like if my car was broken down or something), but we don't socialize and seeing me shouldn't make one happy.
I concluded that the Black guy was the new Overseer of the Congregation

There was a woman in the store getting a coffee which I figured was his wife. I quickly went to the restroom to rinse my cup, I filled it, passed pleasantries with the clerk then I rushed out the door, forgetting I was going to get myself a muffin or something. I knew the car was waiting on me.
As I walked to my vehicle, sure enough, the black man got out and introduced himself as the new Overseer I repeated his name several times. He handed me an invitation to the Memorial and said the Special Talk would be of special interest to me. It was being held the Sunday after the Memorial. I told him I was to be out of town during the Memorial, but I'd try to find a Kingdom Hall in the area where I could go and still observe it... but I'd definitely try to be back in time for the talk.
He also said if I wanted a Shepherding Call, an elder would be happy to come out and see me.
I repeated his name a couple more times "Brother Bowers, Brother Bowers." He said I could call him Shaun.

I *could* take that to mean "Hey, you're disfellowshipped, I'm not your Brother yet." BUT... he said the Talk was especially nice for "inactive ones". Inactive is a term used for Witnesses who are in good standing but for whatever reason, they don't make it to the meetings or go out in the Ministry.
It was nice to finally meet him. It was also nice to see a bunch of Witnesses in one week (I ran into an Elder at Walmart earlier in the week). It helps motivate me to get my life back on track.

How come you are disfellowshipped? I don't mean to pry if it is a sensitive subject, just curious since you mentioned it.

After gall bladder surgery you are supposed to reduce consumption of fatty foods, and somehow that doesn't sound like "safer" to me. Though you will no longer have gall stones you should still reduce fatty foods as your body adjusts. I did some reading here and here, as well as a few other sites around the net, and they all say the same thing.

Glad you don't eat them as much. Good health is so important, and can be so difficult as a parent. I certainly know.

$50,000 is a high figure, more representative of having the surgery in America, say, instead of another country where prices can be much lower. Thailand is a good cost-alternative to surgery in America, with high quality surgeons, at a fraction of the cost. If *she* is set on having the surgery and has gone through appropriate counseling then Thailand might be the way to go.

I'll definitely read those sites. My Dr. made no recommendations. I was just told to eat whatever I want and can tolerate. Hmmmm....

I was disfellowshipped, in part, because my husband is too well known in our community. My kids were majorly misbehaving which was causing the public to frown upon the religion (as if they had anything to do with their misbehavior ) My house was also a royal pigsty. And still is. With now 3 dogs running around and my son not willing to take them out when I'm sleeping, the house becomes their potty. I pick stuff up as I see it, but I turn a blind eye to the back of the house. My kids destroyed it (torn down walls, tagged walls etc), so ignorance is bliss.
Which is why I'm so anal about my own room being clean.
Anyhow..... Jehovah's Witnesses don't just talk the talk, but they practice what they preach. The Bible says if there is anyone called a "brother" who is not living by the standards set forth in the Bible, the Elders first see what they can do to help (within their power and reach). If that fails, more serious steps are taken. If that fails, then the person is disfellowshipped. All that means is that fellow baptized Witnesses are not supposed to socialize with me. I can still attend the meetings. The Elders are still there to give me advice and encouragement etc.

The steps are just 1) to keep the congregation safe. Since being disfellowshipped, I took up smoking again. If I was still a Witness, then peer pressure could play a part in my association with other members. 2) to keep the congregations reputation for upholding Godly principles unblemished. Because of the families reputation, people were turning the Witnesses away (in other words "Why should I hear you out when x and z live like this and do that".) 3) To knock some sense into the person going astray. By being given the cold shoulder, people are more prone to straighten up their act and get back on track (or they go away completely which reveals that love for God and the Congregation never firmly took hold to begin with).

Sorry about the lesson in my religion lol. I just have a hard time saying they gave me the boot without explaining their reasons for doing so. A lot of people have a very hard time with that aspect of my religion. But I understand it and I support their reasons.
That doesn't mean it's easy though. I still have a bit of bitterness about how everything came about, but that's all on me.

My son tends to pull stuff out of the air. He thinks he's highly unattractive. He thinks *I* think he's highly unattractive as well as everyone else. I tell him he's crazy because I've always said he's a handsome boy as has everyone else. His dimples are absolutely adorable and he hates them. Again, pulling a figure out of the air, he says he wants to have them removed and could for $5,000. And sorry if it seems disrespectful, but I personally can't refer to him as a her just yet. If he wanted me to, I could. But I don't even have another name to call him. Everything is categorized just so in my brain. Plus, he doesn't want to come out to the general public just yet, so he's still my little boy. I've not been given another way to think of him yet. Having a new name would be a great start lol
