Thread: I almost died today...

Sort of, one time my friend ran a stop sign and we almost got hit, but it wasn't all that near to death.

The other day a truck almost hit me and my girlfriend when we were crossing the street. Almost ran the stop sign.

Yes, twice. We were going down a highway at a stop light and a big rigger going probably 120 went through the stop sign. It could have swerved easily off the road and into us. But that does not really count....
I was on the highway going up the rockey mountains and as i was way near the top going along a deer goes infront of us and my dad almmost swerved off the road. Musta been 500+ feet to the bottom.....

Fairly close, about 10 years back I was in a big accident (~6-7 cars) on the highway. Our car was completely mangled but fortunately no one was seriously hurt, but it really shook me up and has given a certain fear of driving/cars.

I almost died in the woods once, from dehydration. I also found myself hanging from a tree root over a fifty foot cliff, with jagged sharp rocks underneith me.

I've been dehydrated once too, but wasn't really near death because there were people around, so I wouldn't have died most likely.

Also one time a car sped through the intersection probably 2 metres or so in front of our car. If we were going just a tad faster, we most likely would've been killed easily.

I don't really classify these as near death, but other people posted similar things so yeah.

My sister and I were driving over to a reunion just a week or so ago in our little sedan, and my sister said she looked both ways before starting to turn left at the intersection, but she still didn't see this huge long semi truck suddenly speed down the road and have to swerve past our car to not kill us.

I was 5 at the time. We had two identical, small glasses. They looked more like tall shot glasses than anything. Anyways, I was drinking Apple Juice out of one and when I went outside, this cracked out bitch poured Pinesol into the other one. You ever seen Pinesol? You know what it looks a lot alike? Well, I had to be rushed to the hospital and I remember my mom telling me to "stay awake sweetie".

Once when I was like, 7, I was wrestling one of my brother's friends in the snow, and he lied down on my head, and I couldn't breathe. I honestly thought I was going to die by suffocation, and I was struggling and screaming as hard as I could, and my brother got him off me.
