Thread: Elevator Crushes Woman To Death

Deery, you're not alone. I told my son about this thread and he asked for details. I told him that the word "mangled" would imply that she was intact but her parts weren't necessarily in their proper places.

I was terrified of elevators as a kid. We lived in Puerto Rico when I was 7-10 years old and one of the first places we stayed before getting onto the Navy Base was a huge apartment (?) complex. I would wander off by myself all the time and while on the elevator, the door would frequently open in between floors. All I would see was a solid wall and for some reason, that terrified me. I had nightmares about it my entire childhood and was surprised when I had another nightmare about it just a couple weeks ago.

I don't get that tingly, unbalanced sensation. My hubby thinks I'm strange for that lol especially seeing how I have vertigo. Maybe I'm just naturally so ditsy that it over-rides anything else

There were actually some girls who got locked in an elevator shaft as a prank. Almost got crushed by an elevator going down, luckily one of the girls jammed It with her combat boots.

I personally am not afraid of elevators, or height, or anything normal like that, I have the weirdest fear ever...

Stairs, the way to go.

Anytime I've ever walked into an elevator when it's doors were closing, they always open back up. I've never seen an elevator close on anyone. I guess it happens, but I'm not worried about it. Seems like one of those silly things to be afraid of, like plane crashes etc. When it comes to freak accidents like that I guess it's just your time to go.

I chuckled all the way through it from the moment she started screaming. But I'm surprised that it was legal.

Regardless. I still don't like being told that we are nearing our weight limit. It gives me too much unnecessary anxiety.

I'm actually not afraid of elevators at all. The recent elevators are faulty. That kind of thing is rare.

Even though these are most likely both fake (especially the second one), they are classics.
