So what's on everyone Christmas list?

I suppose it's close enough now to get a little excited. Just interested what is on everyone Christmas list (or what you plan on spending your money on afterwards!) For me i've seen a lovely leather bound journal that I have hinted to everyone to get, will probably end up with 10! Would be nice to get something dream or lucid dream related, but seems I own pretty much everything and the few things I do want aren't available yet! hmph!

I've been in need of a small book shelf as I'm running out of room because my video game collection is growing and I'm running out of room where I currently have my games. A nice black one to go with the rest of my furniture. I also have been wanting the Back to the Future trilogy or Jurassic Park trilogy on blu-ray.

I just want to have my desire to make leaps of faith when things are too confusing to handle. I really don't want anything materialistic, I just want to know if I'm going to do well in health and other things with a fair amount of challenges next year. I also wish my girlfriend good health as well, but other than that, just me and her honestly.

I got a scarf, gloves, a couple shirts, some socks, toiletries, shoes, a chess board and a belt buckle. Also two books, one about jim morrison and one entitled "Buddha's explanation of the universe." I'm a little disappointed that none of my gifts were fair trade. One of my shirts was at least made with organic cotton, whatever that means. But I've been trying to ween myself off conventional shampoo, soap and toothpaste and substitute them with flat beer, baking soda and the like so receiving a bunch of commercial products was kind of a slap in the face. At least I managed to get some paraben free deodorant. I don't see anyone getting me baking soda and beer for hygienic purposes anyways. Maybe if I acted more like a snobby hippy my family would shop better. But I can't be that kind of dick that just instantly rips on gifts because they're not up to some fair trade, organic, sustainable standard. I'm sort of proud that I haven't bought a sweat shop product in a couple years now, and it kind of sucks that even though I didn't buy them I own a bunch of sweat shop clothes again. But I guess it's like being a vegetarian that eats meat when its served to you, it's worse to refuse an offering than ingest a little meat.* It's better I just accept the gifts and rather than spoil the holiday than cling onto a boycott so stubbornly I start to irritate people. *I love meat, just using that as an example.

Got my cheap student violin (which I expected, since I helped pay for it). Luckily a good deal of beginner practice (how to hold the bow, how to hold the neck, where all neutral notes are) stuck with me from when I started learning over a year ago. My mom also found the one gift that could possibly rouse an atheist's nerve. She gave me a red and green decorative sign that says "believe," and told me when unwrapping it that I can believe in whatever I want to, I just have to believe in some higher power. Highly inappropriate. I'm considering editing the sign so it says "believe in the scientific method," or "believe in people," or just leaving it at her house. My sister knows me best. She got me a chia pet and a cool shirt. Best gifts.
