Thread: What does your username mean?

Benitoitessence - benitoite is valuable gem found mostly in California- denotes value of oneself. essence of it's glowing characteristics - it has a deep colbolt blue (my favorite) that reminds me of the night sky under a full moon.

I have a condition called maladaptive daydreaming -- I have fictional characters that live in my head and their stories are constantly playing out in my mind. One is a master yogi (and lucid dreamer), and Amiana is the name she said is hers. I believe her character represents who I aspire to be, so I took her name here.

My name is based on one of Tolkien's names for Lothlórien - "Laurelindórenan".
Incidentally, it also turned out to be very similar to the name of one of the Two Trees of Valinor in his book The Silmarillion - "Laurelin".

DeadDream. I actually don't like it, but when i chose it I was thinking about all the dreams I had and I couldn't remember, those dreams are "dead" since they can not come to my mind again

My old username was debraJane that's my real name. But I love dream games and want lots and lots of people to join-in and have a go.

Mine's not all too original... it's just another way of saying lucid in Latin.

It's my first name and 97 stands for 1997, when I was born.

My username 'Bemistaken' comes from an awkward situation I have had in the past with a family member. I was telling them about OBE's, sleep atonia (I use to call this sleep paralysis until I joined DV) and lucid dreaming and they would always tell me that I was not experiencing what I was trying to explain. I would tell my grandmother that sometimes when I'm asleep, I will be awaken by "feelings of electrocution and I am unable to move." My grandmother (and others) would always tell me that I was 'mistaking' my experiences as being simply my imagination. I always wondered if this is just my imagination...then why does this continue to happen? My grandmother even went as far as saying that this could be a witch or devil sitting on my chest at night . I would always 'be mistaken' as a child with a wild, creative, and adventurous imagination. Since joining DV, now I know that it is not in my imagination or a devil/witch sitting on my chest at night. I have learned to love lucid dreaming and everything that comes with it. If my ability to lucid dream is a mistake...then just call me Bemistaken!

Aristaeus is the last name of a character I created when I was very young, though he had a different name when I first created him.

Aristaeus is the name of a lesser-known Greek god. It was also the name of a Greek mathematician whom lived several eons ago. I chose that name for mine character because he is also a maths genius.

Originally, I was going to register as "Altais", as I have in several other online communities, but at the last moment chose Aristaeus instead.

My user name is the name of my alter ego... Atleast that's what my friends say. Often i get really drunk and i apparently become "Leo" who is sometimes an asshole and sometimes a really chill guy, but still an asshole, as my friends put it "a lovable asshole". So yeah, wish i knew what they are talking about

it souned pretty and kinda fits me. a moonflower is a flower that only blooms at night or on cloudy days, there is even a particular kind that only blooms once a year. a moonflower also has a powerfully sweet vanilla like scent. so it fits because dreams mainly occur when you are asleep at night or when you are napping during the day, and they have this allure of wonder and mystery much like moonflowers.

Missile comes from the very first video game (not pong), so, given my love of gaming, it seemed to fit. Splodey was a random nonsense adjective I came up with and decided to keep.
