what you are saying sounds interesting and is also one of my goals to do, but i never seem to remember to do it as im still a beginner LD'er and get excited and sitracted by other things. I like the idea about the super computer thing. |

Lately, I've been doing experiments that deal with communicating directly with the unconscious. I love my traditional lucid dreams where I run through forests barefoot and fly in museum, drive tanks, eat delicious foods... But, lately, I've been doing these types of experiments to try get something more tangible out of the dreamtime: I've tried talking to dream figures and tracked their 'awareness' and responsiveness while asking them questions, I've asked the dream directly by yelling a question out and receiving both verbal and symbolic responses, I've also let the dream (Subconscious) guide me, lucidly, suggested by a book I'm reading. |

What your looking for is referred to as the mental plane. Your thought is free there from the sub-routines developed for functionality. It's a place where the sky is filled with thoughts deeper than this world. |

I am free
This is my ultimate goal for lucid dreaming. The subconscious is probably the most powerful part of our mind. It's what allows you to walk without thinking about how to move your legs, drive without thinking about every adjustment, and many of the other things we just do automatically. I have recently noticed that when im typing, if I think about what I'm typing I can't remember where the letters are on the keyboard, but if I let my subconscious take over I can type near perfectly. This is the power I want to be able to tap into, and lucid dreams are the way to do it. You are saying you want to use this 'computer' to review your thoughts, what about inputing new ones, such as how to solve certain math problems. If you can, instead of doing a math assignment to teach yourself through repetition, you could input the process directly to your subconscious. Another thing, maybe we could find a way to tap into this power while awake, eliminating the need to sleepp and take up time in order to solve problems, review memories, or upload new ones. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. Well, it's time to go to bed and build that super computer. |

This may seem very strange but I have tried a couple of times to communicate with my subconscious by asking myself the question I want an answer too and centering my attention on my body. It seems that if I say something my body will actually give me an answer by the way it feels. It's usually a feeling in my stomach but it seems to happen right after I ask the question so I assume it's my subconscious reaction to it. The question has to be more of a statement though and then I wait for the body to reply. So I might ask something like, "I should quit the job" and my tummy might feel a rush in it. |

I wanted to do this for years. There have been 2 instances when I tried to communicate with subconscious , but both times I got kicked out of the dream. Any time I set that as my goal again, I get horrible dry spells |
|
Not to be rude, but I don't think you should tell people that trying to communicate with the subconscious will give you dry spells. It may kind of induce a placebo effect, like in one of BillyBobs dream control tutorials, he says that everyone who has a lucid dream end because of something, they come on to DV and post saying "______ ended my LD" and other people start expecting this so that when they have a lucid dream and try to do something similar, the same thing occurs for them. I don't understand how setting that as your goal by itself would give you dry spells. Have you given up on this goal?? |

The experiment that you speak of is indeed very interesting! But to my understanding so far, there some to be some questions in here that we are already able to clarify. |
|
Me, I've created a "Library of the Everything" in my dream world that has all knowledge of everything. If I'm lucid and remember this fact, I can go in there and look up whatever it is I'm looking for. |

Spoiler for Dream Goals:
This subject is the the most inspiring thing about lucid dreams in my opinion, it is what I strive for |

Spoiler for Dream Goals:
I was going to post the same question and some thoughts when the search brought this thread to my attention. Wow - so cool, I can totally relate to Astrumparvulus. Are we reading the same book? I read "Lucid Dreaming - the Guide to the Inner Self." And the author is the one that gave me the idea to shout out in the dream world and receive an answer. The first time I tried it - it worked. It was awesome! My question was "Can the mind be hacked?" And the "answer" - "yes!" And then my response, "How?" And the response, "Do you know yourself yet?" The question to the question spurred me to think a lot about the question my subconscious asked. Ultimately, I think we put limits on ourselves with the self-concept we hold of ourselves. By questioning the very nature of our self-concept, we might be able to do things previously thought possible. For me "hacking the mind" was tapping more potential out of it. Too long of a story for a single post, but I've been running this experiment since October 2011 and have had 4 or 5 interactions with my subconscious in lucid dreams. It is very cool and I highly recommend trying it! |
