So ive been doing DILD practice all day, for a while now.
but Last night i attempted a WBTB and WILD. I used the DreamZ app to wake me up, but i think its results would have been tampered with ( i have a cat who sleeps with me, curled up in my arms every night. ). Nevertheless, it woke me up around 4:00, which was what i asked it to. I stayed awake for 25 minutes reading a book (avoiding my computer), and thinking about WILD. When i went to bed, i relaxed my whole body (first i tensed and untensed, then i just imagined moving every muscle). After that, i tried keeping my brain active by counting up to 100 in my head, and seeing the numbers visualy. I did this around four times (really slowly), i would lose focus occasionaly, but i did pretty well.
Three times during this, i realised how heavy i had gotten ( i tried getting hevier during the relaxation, but imagining sandbags tied onto me just made me tingle where i put it). As soon as i was heavy, i tried to stay focused on my numbers, and slowly the heviness fadded. So the next time, i focused on the heviness, but it still fadded.
At the end of it all ( i was awake for an hour - hour and a half ) I saw light through my shut eyes, and thought i had reached a dream. So i slowly opened my eyes to find i was still in my bed. Performed some RC's, then just gave up.
What was i doing wrong?
How can i do this quickly ( i dont want to sit up all night )
I remembered no dreams last night at all, could that be due to stress from my exams last week? tiredness?
Should i stop attempting WILD and focus all on DILD again?
Any extra guidence you can give me from what youve read?(:
