      All day awareness is impossible?

      for me?
I still attend school, and trying to be aware and awake all day is just downright impossible. I know trying to be aware all day right off the bat is just silly, but I can't even manage what people would say is the least amount, and even so, it hasn't done anything for me yet. All my dreams are still little adventures where I am wrapped up and I don't even notice anything.

So is there any way I can be aware or practice awareness, but just not during the day? Is it possible to cram it all in and get my mind totally focused on being aware right before bed?

I simply can't be aware AND concentrate on what is going in class at the same time. I either notice the chair and the walls and people around me and zone out of what is being said, or I pay attention to what is being said, but nothing else.

I'm not sure that you can activate awareness when ever you desire. But you can certainly try.
And as the 'all day awareness' goes, start simple. For example, when you are brushing your teeth concentrate just on it. Don't let your mind wonder.
Also, when you eat, feel the food in your mouth, crushing under the teeth, feel every bit of it. When you take a shower feel the water on your body.
This is not easy, most people actually cant keep their concentration for more then a minute.
You can sit still and and concentrate just on your breathing, and see how long does it take before you loose the concentration, some thoughts comes it, etc.
When I was older I used to play with time machines.

Well yeah, I tried really hard like a month ago when I tried ADA for that month, it was so hard, both with the ADA as well as keeping up with schoolwork.
Most I could manage was about a collective half hour of total awareness throughout the day, but that wasn't enough, as even at that stage for 3 weeks or so my dreams didn't change in the slightest.

I was wondering is there anything I could do right before bed or in bed falling asleep to help with awareness in dreams? Like a meditation or something?

I just can't, and can't afford, to do ADA throughout the day.

The technique you spoke about near the end of your passage is considered a MILD. It's not really like cramming awareness in a short amount of time, it's more like telling yourself you will be aware when you enter a dream. It works well for me, check it out in the tutorial section if you haven't.

For all day awareness you simply need to be more aware, as much as you can, not 24/7, so I agree with you the name is a little deceiving.

ok all day awareness is possible you guys thats the reason for the second phrase in my pic
so basically you must put inmind that you are amazed on how you discover things everytime you get to see something and put in mind how unaware you were before you practiced this technique and also after a week or so of watching things "everytime" add feelings into them , feel in your brain everything you have felt from an object when you are by it touch it ( smell roughness weight temperature etc....)

Yeah, I tried that but it just doesn't work for me while I need to concentrate in school at the same time. School takes up such a large majority of my day that even if I did it in my spare time it wouldn't be enough.

      @Avalanche:
while in school why dont you just be aware of what is coming to your mind? I mean concentrate on the subject of the teacher fully and on your mind. Observe how it works. Or how you write/draw and stuff like that. Just a suggestion.

I am attendig school right now too, and I recently had 5-6 lucid dreams within two days because I had given up RC'ing and DJ'ing for a while before, and then I started practicing ADA at school, home, walking in between etc. Wherever you are, awareness is possible, I was reading something for english and the word dream came up in the story, immediately I looked around, double checked the time, did a quick nose pinch RC and became aware for 20 seconds or so, even a very little time of awareness at random intervals of the day can help, if I were you, I would continue doing ADA at random times even for short periods if u have to.

Yeah, I think I still do it even when I don't really try. Like when I look at the clock I do it twice, I count my fingers when I see my hands, and quite often when I suddenly remember to be aware after a situation that caught my attention (like going out for P.E., and then coming back in and sitting down) I do it then too.
I will stick with it, but it will be more of an auxiliary technique for me.
