Can Urination Urges ruin your Lucidity?

So I had my second lucid!!! Except this time my lucid ended right away after i saw my hand missing fingers and then in my lucid i reached for a notebook and drew my hand.

I woke up and was disappointed. When i woke up it was like 12:59 at night. And i felt like i wanted to pee.
So i'm pretty sure this was why my lucid got ruined. I had a lucid before and it lasted long.

It could've been that, or it could've been that your lucid occurred too early in your sleep period. What time did you go to bed? Your REM cycles (when you primarily dream) get longer as the night goes on, allowing you to have the longest dreams (including lucid dreams) later in sleep (i.e. in the last 2-3 hours).

Congrats on your second lucid! Even when it's short, it gets easier the more often you're successful.

You should check the REM calculator. It'll tell you what time to go to bed so your dreams are more longer. REM cycles last at least 90 minutes so your dreams will be longer.

Maybe you became lucid in the first place because of the awareness you gained from starting to wake up to pee. That is actually very common

When I was little and I got this urge in a lucid dream, I released it.

      You should try that...

      Just kidding.

It could be that you feel bothered by the urge to pee, and wake up because of that.
After all, you can wake up from sunlight and from loud noises, so it seems logical that an uncomfortable desire to go to the bathroom would wake you up as well.

Although this is of course probably only when you really need to go to the bathroom.
It would be pretty unpractical if your body woke you up just because you "kind of" "feel like" going to the bathroom.

It might have woken you up, but the plus side is that waking up when you can go back to sleep is an excellent opportunity for having a WILD, and those can be awesome.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

Congrats, bro! Hmm... when I have to pee, it makes me forget my dreams sometimes. It's annoying.

      Hahahahaha!

I guess peeing before bed is more important than we thought.

I normally just pee in the lucid and it makes the urge go away. it lasts about 10minutes before the urge comes back (awake or asleep)

I do the same thing But I'm still afraid every time I do it that I will pee outside of the dream too.

I had to stop drinking water for a few hours before bed so that I would stop having to get up and pee at night, because it messed with my dreaming.

I was afraid as well, but one dream I forgot about the fact that I could do that in the outside world and I did it anyways. I didn't have to pee when I woke up and I freaked out. I didn't find anything wet, and a few minutes later the urge to per came back. Since I use water as a back up to intent for natural awakenings, I do it a lot now. just pee where I am at or just pull it out and pee while flying (not gonna lie... Pretty fun).

I will say this, a few weeks ago I had to pee but initiated a WILD right. Once I was dreaming I did Shivambu Shastra (Urine Therapy), I basically drank my urine in the dream. You wouldn't believe how much of a relief that was for my physical body. When I woke up the urge wasn't as bad.
