For the past couple of years, usually when I try to gain further control of my lucidity in a dream, I am faced with a menacing entity in some shape or form that prevents me from expanding lucidity. |

~know what you believe in~
How do you respond to these intimidation attempts and manifestations of your thoughts/fears? Do you actually feel like they have a major effect on your and inhibit you progress or is it just a speed bump along the way? I had a vary similar thing as a child, and I always ran away from it. Once I realized that I could just do whatever I wanted, I confronted this entity and it seemed to disappear from my dreams (still haven't encountered it). If you can, standing up for yourself or snarling back at whatever is in front of you could help consciously make you less fearful of what was going on, and give less power to this subconscious suggestion. |

If you don't, hm well have a nice day anyway ^_^
Scary things use to show up in my lucid dreams. Still do, to a lesser extent. At first I tried to fight the thing or make it go away, but that seemed to just make it stronger. Then I tried just ignoring it, and it usually went away. |

It is more of a speed bump for me, I guess you could say. I have achieved some pretty awesome things while lucid before. For now I'll work on confronting fears as they come and also trying to not rush out of bed in the mornings for work. Waking up earlier will surely give me more time to recall, record and remember my dreams |

You can also pretend like it isn't happening. That can be really helpful for things like obstacles. For threatening DCs, just be nice to them, or address them confidently. You could pet the wolf and make him your friend |

I am never nice to obstacles |

I have the same problem, to a lesser degree. It's difficult to stop thinking about what you don't want to happen. Personally It hasn't affected me In a long time (like since I was little) |
