It was more a joke, but I think you could be right. There does seem to be a CIA of the dream/spirit plane... I quite appropriately name them the dream police. I've been arrested a few times but I always manage to escape

You can count me in. Even though this is probably about as good an idea as a bunch of guys heading off into the woods with guns to hunt bigfoot.

You're all welcome to come find me. Test your skills and maybe head off hunting to see what we can find.

      Grapplers
Older dream warriors who wrestle their astral enemies into submission. This amazing and glorious tradition is quite rare, but significantly effective. while blade combat can destroy an astral/dream entity, it seems only grapplers can effectively capture and pin one, and then impress one's will upon them. the entities do submit but do not take kindly to the treatment. some grapplers can even use this control to extract power and energy out of the beings for their own use.

These older and traditional styles reflect a deeper archetypal presence when compared to the use of firearms and guns. Blasting a shotgun isn;t a particularly PERSONAL skilll, at least compared to something like blade combat. Again it is not the weaponry that matters, it is the symbolic presence of the weaponry that matters.
Where did you get that? There is some truth to those styles being effective.

That being said, I've considered myself a dream warrior ever since I saw A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. This movie helped inspire me to stay in my nightmares and fight back, instead of just trying to wake myself up, every time I had a bad dream. Nearly all of my dreams have to do with some sort of conflict, and I'm usually finding myself in "fight or flight" situations. I'm never really the aggressor, but I can be a pretty ruthless fighter, when provoked.

As far as skills, I have a few years of martial arts under my belt, and a head full of other moves and tactics that I can't execute in waking life. They transfer over perfectly, in the dream world. My hand to hand fighting in my non-lucids is often pretty realistic and gritty, but when I'm lucid, anything goes. Telekinesis is my most effective lucid power, but I'm also prone to using energy-based attack (much like Dragonball Z characters), including energy orbs/blasts, an energy aura that surrounds me (like Goku's Kaiyo-Ken attack), and just expelling energy outward from my body and/or an explosive blast that just comes out from my center (powering-up). I've used pyrokenesis a couple of times, but it's not something I remember to use very often.

As far as why I fight? I usually fight because I'm defending something or someone. You know; the whole 'eternal struggle between good and evil' thing. There are countless villains in my dreams, so I'm never really without motive to do battle. But, sometimes I'll call on someone to spar, just because it's fun.

So yeah, by all means, you can use me as an ally, if you wish.
^Very first person I'd call to back me up in a dream fight.

      I wish

I re-read this thread and I find it even more important and pressing than it was a year ago. I am sorry for all the people who can't even imagine the possibility of this "reality" to be "real". For those of us who have had this call to be dream warriors, it is not arguable if it is real or not. We know it is.
I also feel sorry that our modern society has forgotten and ignored the tradition and knowledge associated with the training of the dream warriors. If it weren't for the fact that this call was so powerful within ourselves, we would have never met here in the first place and we would not have identified what Frappo described.
But we did! We felt it our entire lives and it is exactly how he says. Could we all be having the same delusions? Could different cultures, tribes and civilizations, who never had contact with each other, have also been deluded with the same fantasy? I think not.
My only question is: how can we honestly be good and strong dream warriors when we have to waste ourselves in our daily lives, going to school, to work, being bombarded all the time with toxins, pollution, disturbing radiations, being called nuts if we dare to mention what we do to other people...?
I sometimes have setbacks that disturb my evolution for months and I have to almost start all over again from point zero. Maybe because I encounter forces which are stronger than myself and they send me back to a lower frequency or vibration from which I have difficulty recovering.
I often feel discouraged because I have achieved so little and progressed so slowly.
I wish we could all be full-time dream warriors, training by day, accomplishing missions by night. Then I'm sure we could do a lot more for the benefit of all sentient beings.

I have a black hole in the palm of my hand and can consume anything with it.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

This is totally how I feel. I've actually gone to the point of distancing myself from most people in my waking life. My whole life seems like a blur. And the past year has been the slowest moving time of my life.

This is a very interesting thread as I'm also someone who thinks about fighting constantly and has many dreams about it. I've fought many entities in dreams and only been overtaken by a few in which I forced myself to wake up.

      -------------

      Just a few:

I can recall a shadowy man chasing me down with a chainsaw and coming straight on at me. I somehow manage to flip him over me as I rolled backwards, his own chainsaw impaling him behind me.

A powerful werewolf like being that knew martial arts was fighting me and we had a very epic battle of which I can't even remember how it ended.

In an awakened state, an entity kept trying to bring me into the falling sensations of entering sleep with mocking words and evil laughter which kept waking me up. After two tries, I imagined an angel and she quickly dealt with him upon my reentry to my dreams.

      -------------

I always seem to be able to do these martial arts (Tai Chi Chaun, Bagua Quan) fluently in my dreams and in waking life, thought I've not taken classes, I understand more and more concepts about them. When I was 16, I palmed and snaked (the middle finger) through walls easily. Whenever I am in a real physical conflict, I seem to know these moves and react instantly turning the situation back on my attacker.

As far as who I am, I feel fighting is very exciting and fun and keeping a light mood infuriates my enemies even more. However as a Libra, if the enemy is very cruel or harmful, I feel it necessary to match his level with my own justifying even a brutal animalistic attack to defend myself and others. Somewhat unrelevantly I also feel a very strong connection to the wind. It always makes me feel better and often times even powerful.

In dreams, I used to be a fervent lucid dreamer. I've since stopped any lucid training and now I seem to always know that I'm dreaming. Oddly, I don't usually bother turning them into controlled lucids but rather experiment with the altered state. Randomly, I'll remember I turned a dream into a lucid and did more experimenting, but I seemed to have done it by choice.

I'm very intrigued by the concept of a deeper, universal meaning behind those who fantasize about battle. Perhaps we are not only dream warriors. I know myself I am not one to suffer injustice, I usually blame being a Libra.

Different people here have different beliefs about it, as most of the thread makes obvious.

I for one do it because it's incredibly fun.

Oh wow, there's a war going on and I don't know about it? FML

At above poster, seconded, there's nothing quite like combat in dreams. The thrill is just O_O|

Since everyone's posting their warrior info, what the heck.

I has katana. I has a very messy dream guide that loves killing things. I love killing things.

      That's about it. 8D

Ahahaha dream warriors, i am one, don't be fooled by this female warrior, i can do just about anything i put my mind to! I have fought many hard warriors that can't even die with one slash of my sword, or a blast of my gun, or my strong X-men character > Rogue! I can punch someone and they fly, throw them and they fly anyways LOL! I had to seriously defeat a few people that felt like 15 mins long! By the time i am done with the person i really have to make sure they are 100% done before i leave.
I can spot, people hiding in different forms, i actually sense very well in my dreams, if i feel something bad is going to happen, it mostly definitely will.
But i realize i am having less combat in my dreams, come on people i don't want to become rusty LOL seems like no one can defeat me so they leave me alone LMAO!

LOL ya basically i am hardcore, I actually summoned tough dream characters i had crushes on in real life, like hot actor Dolph Lundgren when he was in his prime year of 1980s XD, i actually cheated on one dream combat someone was attacking me and i had WWE wrestler near me Randy orton to do my dirty work, also had crush on him too, after the combat we flirted bahahaha! So actually i am getting better in LDs and summoning DCs at the sametime, i'm so bad LOL.

I am rather the opposite of a dream-warrior.

I study under various dream-entities any many times in this training I have been beaten by those masterful grapplers.

also I often get eliminated by forces of law within my dreams, be it police or security or whatever. I just keep getting into places where I am not meant to go. I learned there are weapons that are extremely effective on me and on some other dream-characters, a mere touch with that material instantly makes the whole dream stop and puts us into new dreams or makes us wake up completely. and when I say us I actually mean the white vampires I am a honorary member of. from them I learned to prolong my dreams indefinitely by touching certain dream-characters. of course apart from the white vampires there also are other dream-characters who get fought this way, but that's mostly just bystanders who were dragged into this place by those white vampires (or by myself) as some sort of emergency-snack. so, in my dreams there basically are 2 fractions: the ghosts and the natives, and the ghosts are fought whenever a native has the ability to perceive them. one world's native is another world's ghost, and only such ghosts and natives can serve as a snack. there's a third fraction through, the hallucinations, they prevent ghosts from discovering the vampiric powers because they do not prolong the dream. funnily sometimes the natives consciously make use of those hallucinations to for example hide a big creature inside the hallucination of a small insect. only the senseory input from touch can discern what is native and what is hallucination. similarily some natives also are aware of how to control what will happen after I am touched by that ghost-eliminating material, thereby effectively locking up all ghosts together into one unescapeable dream till I wake up.

so, let's put aside all those science-bantering and evil-bashing. dreams are much more than just a big fighting-arena where the dreamer always keeps on coming out victorious. I think the most important ressource in a dream is the ability to stay in one and the same place. isn't that the whole point of lucid dreaming, to prolong the actual experience of freedom? shouldn't we all become some form of white vampires and thereby get in contact with the very forces those dream-warriors are fighting against? shouldn't we rather fight the political systems in our dreams that prohibit us from "attacking" innocent natives who cannot see us? instead those dream-warriors are only pouring fuel into the conflict by using whatever blades or grappling onto the natives of a dream. aren't they the reason why we are disallowed to visit the most educating and interesting sites?

don't get me wrong, what I am talking of here isn't about whatever parallel realities, I am talking about our very own real reality and about how it gets influenced by our actions in the lucid dreams. dream-experiments are ok, but battling and raping within a dream definitely bends our own personalities in all the wrong directions and thereby causes a lot of evil in our waken world. prohibit first-person-shooters but allow and even encourage people to lucidly dream of pillage and rape? something's dead wrong in our society!

Oh i know it's not only a fighting area to fight warriors only, but i know that's the best thing i can do in dreams is fight and use my smart brain as if it is in real life. I can stay in one place most of the times without fighting others, i can develop sometimes very emotional times in my dreams, sad, happy etc. Meeting people i haven't seen for so long, creating dream characters, changing the scene etc. I can do almost anything.
But the most best thing i can do is fight, but it don't mean i am only that.

Sign me up. I've been a Dream Warrior since... well, ever since I could remember. I just like violence so damn much.

I think we all should start our dream journal here on what happened in our dreams when we fight, it is good to read how others fight and for what. I actually want to start this one first

It wasn't until I met another person who also happens to be a Dream Warrior that we discussed similar experiences and shared perceptions which has over time awakened me to a deeper reality of dreams.

      Call to Arms
Our dream life has been throughout our life very powerful and important. We are here to affirm that -- very important indeed. There are unconscious dreamers and there are lucid travelers. "God" has given a special task to certain individuals to fight evil on earth. These are the Dream Warriors.

Most dream warriors are reincarnated beings, and have certainly discovered their nature early in life. most were warriors of some type or another in previous lives and this should not be a surprised that so many warriors find reincarnation relatively common.

      Traditional Combat Styles:

      Blade Warriors
Majority of warriors. Skills learned in a serious martial tradition are not easily forgotten, nor is the trauma and unpleasant nature of those skills.

      Resistance to being Rescued
It is very difficult to explain this sort of thing to people, and they often do not want to believe the truth of the situation-- it is difficult for hard truths to compete with easy lies. So Dream Warriors throughout history have made a policy of not bothing to be involved in the discussion; to simply come in and chase the damaging entities off.

The noble man cringes when seeing his options..in reality reduced to just two - to fight back, or suicide. the noble man who is also a warrior recognizes that to fight back at some point always becomes suicide. The Warrior is peculiar, it is one who deliberately chooses a life of combat for a cause.

      DEATH
Dying in battle (dream or otherwise) is truly one of the best ways to die. Why? Because one dies in good health, with a strong self-image, a role that one can identify with, and a distinct purpose.

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired and success achieved.

      Where WE Come In
Small groups of people and brave individuals engage in strife nightly around the world. Their task is and has been for thousands of years to engage the dark invasive entities that plague mankind and cause evil, fear, and unhealthiness worldwide. They are self-trained guardians of the helpless masses.

I believe we (you and I) all have a large role to play in the coming changes and some of us have been by and large preparing for a Dream War that is on the cusp of spilling fully into "the real" world.

The battle does take place on both planes. This is for certain. No battle is trivial. No role is insignificant. We fight desperately on uneven ground on both planes for what will be the meaning of all existence.

The good news is: You can do it.
The bad news is: You MUST do it.

Concluding Note: I'm trying to keep a list of known Warriors to call allies. That is why I am posting this, to feel the waters out. I know there are some Warriors here accomplishing great things, based on their dream journals... but what's to stop us from trying to pool the talent we have, into accomplishing group tasks?

Who here considers themselves a Dream Warrior?
